Fall back (AU)

**This role play is based off Inuyasha, but the character's in that anime are not in this one. Some of the things in this role play are from the anime other things will not be** (Mature Content maybe included)

The rushing sound of cars, the constant rawr of people's voice's as they carried over the sound of the cars. The smell of exhaust, the sky's dark as the sky scrapers blocked the sun and easily over powered what few tree's lay in the city. This was all normal to one girl named Lily Amara Kuso, she had lived in Tokyo for as long as she could remember, and seeing, smelling, and hearing all these things was just something that one got used to. She was coming back from school, so the rush to get home from school or work caused the street's to be rather backed up, Lily stood at the cross walk waiting for the light to turn so she could walk across the busy street with the other dozen's of people.

She did not have to wait much longer as the little green light went off and she moved forward across the street and onto the sidewalk once again, shouldering her school bag she walked down the sidewalk some people bumping into her till she turned down another road this one not as crowded. Lily sighed but smiled as she looked ahead, nestled within the city almost the direct center sat the shrine that she worked at. It was peaceful and quiet here; something she was not used to but the more she worked here the more it was not as weird not to hear anything.

Lily walked up the stairs to the shrine seeing a few people coming and going either to use the baths here or to pay their respects. Nodding her head to some of them she moved to the main building and to the back room to put her stuff down she wouldn't change out of her school outfit till she knew what she was to do, be as comfortable as long as she could till she had to wear the standard priestess outfit. Walking out she looked for the old priestess that ran this shrine calling out her name "Miss Yoko?" she looked around and sighed. "now where did she go this time?" she asked herself out load.

Bitting her lip she kept looking or her boss heading to the warehouse only to hear something from behind it, tilting her head she moved towards it. "Miss Yoko? you back there?" she had not exactly been back there there was a small shrine there with a huge tree that had a door size hole in the middle of it but the tree had split off into two trunks so it looked like two tree's merged into one. Seeing no one there she sighed again "well this sucks, if i cant find her then how am i to know my chores today?" Turning from the tree she went to leave but something made her stop, looking back at it she tilted her head something was in the tree.

Moving towards it she slid over the fence that surrounded it and looked through the opening, "I could have sworn I saw something" she moved closer placing her hand against the tree's trunk but the moment her hand came into contact with it a sudden gush of wind rushed up behind her knocking her through the opening landing on the other side. She winced as she pulled herself up "That hurt" she stated and would lift her head but froze instead of tree's in front of her she was in a clearing the large tree that she had just gone through behind her but no fence nor was there a warehouse.

"OK....what just happened?" She stood up and yelled. "Miss Yoko if this is one of your tricks its not funny" she called walking around the small clearing. "Oh god where am I?" She kept walking leaving the clearly and having no idea where she was going, till she came to another clearing a cave sitting not to far off she looked at it and then away but just as she was about to continue mother nature decided to play cruel and unleashed a heavy rain. Lily yelped and ran towards the cave to escape the rain, and to prevent from getting soaked. She stood there shivering slightly, her school uniform was not the best thing for warmth.

Lily would stay in the cave for several hours, the rains never letting up as she sat there her legs to her chest. "What have I gotten myself into this time?" she said out load another shiver running up her spine.

Kisuke shook his head a bit like a dog would, not that it did much good to dislodge the water weighing it down, considering the continuing downpour. He sighed a bit, glancing around through dark-ringed, slightly glassy eyes. Insomnia did that to a person. He sniffed the air, smelling only rain and blood, and glanced down to the long dead body at his feet. He had hoped to find his friend Torahime, but instead found what he expected was someone that had tried to attack her. Now, it was raining hard, and he knew it would wash away Torahime's scent. They'd been seperated in a battle on a bridge, in which he'd been blown off the bridge by an explosion. Now...now he wasn't sure if he'd find his friend anytime soon.

He grumbled a bit to himself, then headed toward a nearby cave. He leapt forward to more quickly clear the distance, and landed with grace just inside the mouth of the cave. He once again shook loose the water, huffing slightly in irritation, and taking a deep inhale of the air in the cave. Stale air, a bit of the rain...then came the strange parts. A strangely pungent smell, what a modern and informed person would call the smell of car exhaust, trees, and...human. Female, to be precise, along with various smells he couldn't yet place. He glanced around, and that's when he saw her. A young woman, shivering in the cold, soaked from the rain, and wearing a strange outfit...particularly the skirt, which was much, much shorter than he was used to seeing. They usually came down to the ankles in this day and age, after all.

Kisuke looked at the young woman in surprise for a moment, then figured he should probably speak. "...You are oddly dressed." Perhaps not the most socially acceptable greeting, but it would do for now. His voice was quiet and rough, as if he was unused to speaking. Likely because he was.

The rain just continued to pour as if nothing could make it stop. The cold was make it difficult to stop from shivering and she did not see anything that could make a fire or anything a long those sorts. She rested her chin on her arms pulling her legs closer to her body just to trap the heat within her body as or as much of her body as she could. Closing her eyes she wished to just go home or someone to find her so she could go home.

It seemed like hours before something changed and she would lift her head up to see the person suddenly standing in the cave, she sat there watching and she would let her hand drop fear grasping her as she found a rock gripping it. She just stared at the boy but the moment he spoke she screamed and threw it at him and darted or attempted to stand up and run to the back of the cave. But hours curled up as she was her legs had cramped up and she fell wincing as the rocks cut her skin.

Her black hair stuck to her still wet body and cloths as she turned to look at him, she was scared and well she did not seem of this area...or world.

Kisuke blinked and tilted his head back slightly to watch the rock sail over his head, before turning back to the woman, watching her blankly. When she fell and turned to look at him in fear, he tilted his head to the side curiously. "...Well that was foolish. Why would you attack me when I was simply standing here, and then run toward the back of a cave? Hm, nevermind, you seem to be a bit too scared to think clearly." He looked around as he thought of how to ease the young woman's fears, and settled for sitting down indian style on the cave floor, watching her.

She sat there still scared and when he sat down she just watched him, ya she could have chosen a better way than just grabbing a rock and throwing it at him. Bitting her lip she just sat there before the courage to speak formed. "Who are you?" her voice still etched with fear. Her heart pounding in her chest and she was taking several deep breaths to calm herself.

"Where am I?" she really couldn't think of anything else to ask, after all what would one ask if they just suddenly where in one place then in the next. She would turn her body a bit more till her back was against the cave wall again, her knee's scratched up from falling.

Kisuke paused, slightly confused, but answered. "My name is Kisuke...as for where you are....I'm not sure myself. Somewhere in Japan. My memory has not been the best recently." And by that, of course, he meant that he was amnesiatic and was still reclaiming bits of his memories. "What is your name?"

"Like Tokyo, Hiroshima, what city?" she asked again looking at him, she was trying to just place where she was so that way if she knew that she could at least call someone and get home. Maybe she had been kidnapped or Miss Yoko was playing a really mean trick this time. Her attention went back to his own question and she would straighten herself a bit thinking at least he gave her straight answers she should at least be respectful and she would blush as she realized her skirt was up farther than it should be and she pulled it down some; hiding her exposed underwear.

"My name is Lily Amara Kuso....my family and friends just call me Lily" she stated pushing her hair behind her ear, a black and white bracelet on her wrist with strange symbols etched into each bead. "I..I'm sorry about throwing the rock at you....I just was scared and well you kinda just appeared in the cave"

Kisuke sighed. "I don't know of a place called Tokyo or Hiroshima, or even what a 'city' is. The last place I remember being in was Kyoto. And that was a few weeks ago....also, I did not simply appear in the cave, I jumped in to escape the rain. It is not my fault that you did not see me do so." He said this with no malice or superiority, just casually as if stating fact...which he was. "It's understandable if you were scared though. And I was not hit by the rock, so I don't mind."

When he had said Kyoto she felt hope swell in her heart, that was a city back home though he had to be living underneath a rock not to hear about the other places, she did not really pay attention to anything else he said till she would speak. "Kyoto that's one of the cites I know, can you take me there? Someone has to know how I got here or even how I can get home."

Lily would stand up slowly though the rock floor was hurting her butt and she would look at him, as he got a better look as to what she was wearing. A long sleeve shirt with a scarf tied around the neck and hung down her back, the skirt that barley even got to her knee's exposing skin that well would be more suitable in private quarters. Her black hair was tied back but it was touching the backs of her knee's, green eyes that had once had been dark from fear where now lighter with the hopes of returning home.

"And if you where there only a few weeks ago then it should only take us a few hours to get back. I'm sure there's a car or a taxi we could higher to take us there"

Kisuke was obviously confused. "...A few hours? It took me those few weeks to get here from there, as I said. I'm not sure what this 'Taxi' or 'Car' you mentioned are, either. Perhaps I'm not the only one who is confused...perhaps you hit your head? We should probably take you to see a healer? There is a village a few days travel from here, I'm not sure which. I'll escort you there when the rain clears up."

Lily tilted her head to the side as she stood there. "A few weeks? what you do walk there or something?" she asked rather confused herself now since he didn't even know what a car or a taxi was. "As for if I'm sick or something I'm talking plain sense here, you know a car can carry like 4 people at a time and travail long distances" she stated trying her best to describe a car to him.

"They can like go 100 miles per hour but course you could get pulled over for that" now she was some what rambling as she kept talking about other things seeing his confused face growing more and more confused. "Do you live under a rock how do you not know of these things?"

Kisuke seemed to understand then...the keyword being 'seemed'. "Ah, you mean a cart. Yes, they can carry multiple people over long distances...but they certainly cannot travel a hundred miles in a single hour. A strong horse can only go thirty, maybe thirty-five miles in that time, and that's if you run the poor animal into the ground. I have not been living under a rock, but I am aware that things have not changed much in the twelve years I was 'absent'." There was a straing emphasis on the word 'absent', but it was subtle.

"A cart? What are we 500 years into the past or something? Last time I checked it was 2011" she stated looking at him, was he really serious talking about carts and horses no one road horses around anymore unless you were going horse back riding or out in the middle of the boonies. She would then sit down after all she really couldn't go anywhere at this moment till the rain stopped.

She would scratch her head a bit till she would remember "oh god I am so stupid!" she stated out loud and perhaps he could be thinking that she maybe have come to her senses but instead she reached into the pocket of her skirt and pulled out a strange object; a cell phone. Flipping it open the screen lit up "dang it no signal....I was hoping to call my mom or dad at least. Maybe grandma since she lives in Kyoto"

Kisuke looked to be more confused than ever, and was looking at Lily as if she might be insane. "...Lily, correct? The year is 1507...and what is that...strange light in your hand?" He seemed to be wary of the cellphone, as well as Lily now, but his hands never strayed to the sword at his hips.

She was trying to find a way to get a signal pressing a few buttons making it make a few noise's till she would look at him when she heard his words. "1507.....YOUR JOKING!" she yelled staring at him. "There is no way it can be 1507" she would look at her cell phone and then she held it up to him the light shinning at him. "See right here it says 2011 right there" she stated.

Kisuke just shook his head almost sadly. "That strange glowing tablet is innaccurate then. I assure you, Miss Lily, it is the year 1507." He paused, thinking. "...Hmm. 2011 would be a little over five-hundred years from now, and you earlier made a comment asking if it was five-hundred years in the past, to degree...perhaps your possible head injury has made you think you are from the future then."

"I told you I do not have a head injury" she stated as she snapped her cell phone shut and sighed. This was really getting annoying that he was doing this and she would then look at him again. "Look until a few hours ago I was walking out of school and heading to work. I work at a near by shrine run by Miss Yoko Surazu, the shrine is called the Surazu shrine. So if anyone who has the head injury it's you because I am not 500 years in the past there is just NO WAY that that is possible unless the tree I fell through was a magic portal"

Kisuke simply nodded in response, seeing no other choice. "Fine, you do not have a head injury, and you are not five hundred years in the past. This does not change the fact that it is indeed the year 1507, there is no Surazu shrine nearby, and I feel it best if you saw a healer." It was obvious he didn't believe her, and was just not wanting to argue about head injuries and time travel.

"I said I am fine...if anything the only thing that would need to be looked at are my scratches, who knows what is crawling in this cave or out in the woods." She stated and leaned against the cave wall sighing, god she wanted to go home and her cell phone was her only little link to her home but if she couldn't get a signal she was up the river without a paddle.

"Hey....why did you say I'm wearing strange clothing?" She asked staring at him. "I wear this for school its our uniform well guys get to wear pants girls wear skirts but other than that we all dress some what the same."

Kisuke just stared at her. "...Wherever you are from is very different from the rest of Japan then. As much skin as you are showing, you will likely be mistaken for a geisha or concubine, whatever you may choose to call it. That or a demon, who is not held to the same standards as a human would be. Throughout most of Japan, a human woman does not wear a skirt that short unless there is a functional purpose for it or she is trying to entice a man."

"I'm only 17 why would I want to entice a guy? And demons really? Aren't they myths or something cause back where I am from you only use demons to scare a kid to behaving." She would push her hair behind her ear again till she sneezed. Since she had yet to even dry off during this whole time, and her face was starting to look a bit red.

She put her hand to her face feeling it a bit hotter and she looked at him "you wouldn't....know if there is anything to make a fire with do you? I think I might be getting a cold" she stated.

Kisuke frowned slightly, then stood, reaching into a large pouch situated at his lower back, and pulling out a tightly folded blanket. He unfolded it, the blanket proving to be surprisingly large, and he set it down next to Lily, before moving away from her. "You should get out of those wet clothes, they are only making you colder. Undress and wrap yourself in the blanket. I will go out and try to find some dry wood if possible once you do. I'd do so while you changed, but if you are anything like my sister used to be, then I can expect that I can't trust you to follow common sense and do as I said while I'm gone."

She sneezed a few more times before he handed her the blanket and she nodded her head taking it, she could not complain about changing out of her wet cloths so long as he did not try anything once she was naked beneath them. Wrapping it around her and so that some of it would be beneath her so she would not sit on hard rock she began to undress. She would then take off her bra and even her underwear putting them with her wet cloths but laying them apart so they could dry

"Thank you...." she stated softly as she wrapped the blanket around her tighter, at least she was warm but her face was still red showing that she could have a fever.

Kisuke nodded, and turned to leave the cave. "I will be back shortly. Try to move around a bit to keep your blood flowing, and to help warm yourself up. I have keen hearing, so if anything happens and you need immediate help, scream for me, I will return. I doubt there are bandits or demons nearby, but I am unwilling to simply assume so." With that, he left the cave, disappearing into the curtain of rain outside of the cave.

"I'll try" she stated and watched him disappear, once he was gone she started to push herself up but her legs weren't being her friend right now after being locked up in one position so long and due to her being cold they just wanted to remain locked. Moving the blanket so that she could grip the opening with one hand she pushed herself up with the other stumbling a bit but catching herself against the wall.

"well this might be harder than it should be" she stated out loud her voice causing a small echo to go through the cave and she looked to the back, at least it was closed off and nothing was going to jump out; but that was his fault for mentioning demons and her old nightmares came to mind. Shacking her head she took a deep breath "it was just a story that's all they are is stories" she told herself and tried to walk around, and the trying was turning into wanting to just sit down and sleep.
