History: Hotaru and her brother Juro were abandoned by their parents at a very early age. Since then they had been bouncing to orphanage to orphanage until a retired warrior saw them, took a bit of pity and decided to help them become something more then another number in the system.
Hotaru was shown to have a talent for magic while her much more serious and focused brother seemed to have a affinity for Ninja skills. The two refined and improved on their craft together to support each other and survive the otherwise harsh enviorment of the Netherworld.
That was when they both called to serve under the young Overlord Laharl, and the rest is history.
