The Dark Inside Me [18+, NC-17, etc. I'm serious.]

He walked into the school yard looking around. He noticed all the children here. Tokyo Highschool Seemed like a good place to start. He decided it would be best to try something new. So he would go from place to place visiting each school to get what he wanted and to give those what they want. 

He made his way to the lockers and slipped off his shoes. Putting on the inside attire he made his way to his home room. There was a girl in there he had his eye on. Satomi. Her family name was Kagura. At this school he went by Sei Souska. Not really original but it would serve his purpose. 

Satomi was a seemingly innocent girl. Nice smile, beautiful, and intelligent. People seemed to gravitate towards her from all walks of life. One in particular. His name was Ren. Sei moved towards his seat and dropped his bag at the side of his desk. Some time ago he had made a deal with Satomi. He would make sure she would be the most successful, most popular girl in school. She seemed to think she needed that in order to get the attention of the boy Ren. She was infatuated with him since the beginning of middle school. All she really wanted was to kiss him. To have him love her as she did him. Now a junior in highschool she finally had him. 

(Today is the day I think.) Sei thought to himself. He just knew it was going to happen today. "All your dreams are about to come true."

A short time later it was lunch time. Satomi and Ren disappeared off somewhere. He sat there and ate his lunch. He didn't need to eat but he liked to keep up the deception. He made his way over to the bathrooms. He passed Ren who was on his way back. He had a bewildered smile on his face. Sei looked around and moved towards the girls room. He moved into the shadows a bit as a small group of girls walked by. When he stepped forward he looked like a girl in a boy's uniform. Sei moved into the girls bathroom where Satomi was. He was back to his normal self. Well... as normal as a mortal form can be. 

Satomi looked at Sei "Oh my gosh Sei, what are you doing in here?" She asked startled. She still had a smile on her face. 

Sei moved in and closed the door. Leaning against it he crossed his arms. "Well? I saw you and Ren leave together, did you do it?" he asked with theatrical flair.

She moved to Sei and leaned against the wall next to him. "Oh yes, Finally yes. It was the most amazing then I've ever done. I love him so much and now he loves me. When we kissed I could feel it. It was totally worth it." She slipped her arm under his and pulled him towards the mirrors. He followed and reached back quickly locking the door.

Satomi moved to the mirrors and started to fix her makeup while Sei hung back. "So, was it everything you wanted? Everything you could ever ask for?"

To Sei's disgust she smiled even brighter. Her innocence completely obvious. "Oh yes, that and more. I can't wait until tonight. He's taking me out to the movies."

Sei's mouth grew a wicked smile. "And you are satisfied?"

Satomi finished with her makeup and turned. "Yes, completely, and 100 percent." She then froze. The look on Sei's face, more notably in his eyes set a deep seeded fear into her heart. 

The lights flickered and Sei took a step forward. Satomi took one back and bumped into the sink. "Wha... what are you... " She looked around for escape. She saw the door and moved a bit towards it. "Sei what are you doing?"

Sei smiled. "Me, nothing. Just collecting on what is owed to me." He reached out towards her and grabbed her uniform. Satomi screamed and headed towards the door. She heard a ripping sound as she literally tore away. She jacket and part of her undershirt hung from Sei's hand. He shook his head. "Now now, you can't go back. We have a deal. You got exactly what you wanted. Now it's time to deliver." He dropped the cloth and advanced towards her again. The room growing darker. Satomi looked at her once friend, tears streaming down her face. Looking again for escape she spotted the window. She bolted towards it. Seeing it partially open.

As she moved past Sei he grabbed for her this time with both hands. He grabbed a handfull of shirt and part of her skirt. Both tore free. He twitched an eye and the window slammed closed just as she reached it. "NO!!!" Satomi screamed. She sunk to her knees naked and alone. Sei walked towards her dropping the fabric. It was getting her to see him through the tears and growing darkness.

She tried to cover herself. "HELP ME!!!! SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!!" She screamed at the top of her lungs. Sei reached down and grabbed both wrists in one hand. He lifted the girl until she was eye height with him. Her body trembled with fear and shame. 

Sei leaned in and took in a deep breath through his nose. "Oh you are perfect. Your fear is at its apex. Oh and no one can hear you. You are all mine now." He gave a wicked chuckle. "No..." Satomi croaked out. He could hear something like water dripping on the floor. That cause him to laugh. "And now there goes the last of your dignity. You are going to be so much fun to play with." He reached back his hand and plunged it into her chest. There was a sickening thunk and she gave a short gasp. Looking down she expected to see blood. However there was none. His hand seemed to phase into her chest. 

Sei pulled back his hand slowly. When it came out of Satomi's chest there was a glowing orb in his hand. He let it go and it sank slowly towards the floor. "I have what I came for Satomi. You shouldn't have resisted." Still connected with her mortal body the light moved down. She knew then when Sei touched her soul what he was. She was terrified. He looked her in the eyes one last time. "And now you die, you will be found naked, in a pile of your own piss and shit." He reached back again and this time his hand didn't phase through her. His fingers pierced her flesh and she screamed. The agony and terror in that scream would have been heard all throughout the school had the shadows not contained it. 

She felt every inch he pushed up under her chest. She started to gurgle and blood came out of her mouth as her lungs began to fill. All she could manage was a gurgling moan. He reached in further and grasped her heart and then quickly pulled out and down. Spilling her blood all over the bathroom floor. He let her go and she dropped in place. He legs folding like an accordion. She looked at herself with blurred vision. She remembered that her brain would continue to live for a other few minutes so she would feel everything. She watched as the light touched the ground and shadow like hands reached up and grasped it. Pulling it down. 

Sei looked at the now corpse of the once vibrant young woman. Walking over to the sink he washed his hands and moved towards the door. Looking back he met Satomi's eyes one last time. "See you in hell." then he turned and exited the bathroom. Making sure he looked like a random girl that went to this school. When no one was around he changed back to Sei and went back to his classroom. He sat down and finished his lunch.

Okita Asano shifted a bit, adjusting her glasses as she contemplated what to do. She had her bookbag with her, filled with school supplies and a couple manga borrowed from the public library. She could stay where she was for a bit, she'd have plenty to read. She could also do her homework. That could kill some time. She paused, and glanced at the door. She hadn't heard anything in a bit... how long had she been in here? She couldn't say; the clock in this room was apparently broken, and she didn't have a watch or phone to check the time.

She shifted again, biting her lower lip lightly. If she was too late in coming home, she'd be in a lot of trouble. She might not get dinner, which would really be a problem since she never got to eat lunch at school. She sighed, and went to the window nearby, opening it as quietly as possible. She was on the third floor of the school, and wasn't about to jump. However, there were a line of bushes on the ground below. She made sure nobody was watching, then carefully dropped her bookbag into the bushes, before closing the window. Taking a deep breath, she went over and unlocked the door, before slowly sliding it open, peeking out.

Nobody was there. Letting out a relieved breath, she stepped out of the room, closing the door behind her. She started to walk down the hall, only for a door next to her to slam open. She let out a startled shriek as she was suddenly doused with some sort of liquid. As laughter rang out around her, she took note that it was... paint. They'd thrown paint on her this time. A mix of colors, and she was completely soaked with it. She took off her glasses quickly, trying to wipe paint off the lenses with any dry spots she could find of her uniform, only to have them snatched away.


"What's this, Okita-chan? Have a bit of an accident? Wow, what a mess..." Okita sighed softly, looking at the blurry figure of the one speaking, who was waving her glasses around carelessly. Yasu Ushijima... Student Council President, and one of her chief tormenters... and for a reason that was completely unfair....

"...Ushijima-san, may I please have my glasses back?" The response was a contemplative hum, accompanied by giggles from the other girls. Yasu's friends, who consisted of the Student Council secretary, treasurer, and head of the Disciplinary Committee.

"Okita-chan, you make it really hard to spend time with you when you go skulking off into random classrooms like this. What do you even do in there? I hope it's not anything against the rules, I'd hate to have to turn you in. You're already going to be in enough trouble over making this mess. You should probably clean this up before it all dries."

"...Why can't you just leave me alone? I never did anything to-" She was cut off as Yasu slapped her hard across the face, then grabbed her by her collar and slammed her into the nearby wall.

"Enough of that bullshit, bitch. You keep making me repeat myself and I'm getting sick of it. This 'innocent victim' crap isn't fooling anyone!" Okita grabbed Yasu's arms, trying to force her off of her.

"I never slept with your boyfriend! I told you, he tried to rape m-" Pain exploded in her head as Yasu slammed her head against the wall hard, before throwing her to the ground and kicking her square in the stomach.

"Stop lying to me you little whore! You tried to seduce him, to steal my boyfriend! Did you think I'd let you get away with that?!" As Okita tried to push herself to her feet, she shrieked in pain as Yasu's foot smashed into her face. She whimpered as she clutched her nose; she quickly realized her nose was probably broken... and all that blood...


"Shit... Yasu, that was pretty loud..."

"Forget it, all the staff are at that meeting the Principal is holding in his office, they won't hear anything." She stalked over to Okita, grabbing her by the hair and lifting her up a bit to look her in the eye. "You can keep lying all you want, but we both know the truth. And I am going to make sure your life is a living hell for it." She dropped Okita dismissively, stomped her glasses, and stormed off, she and her friends skirting the paint and blood on the floor.

Okita whimpered softly, curling up into a ball until the pain subsided a bit. She collected her bag from outside, and made her way home slowly. She knew that the paint would be blamed on her, but she wanted to get home now, and deal with the clean up later...

That Night~

Okita sniffled a bit, wincing as she did. Her nose was indeed broken, her uniform was ruined, her glasses shattered, and she was being punished for all of that as well as being late to get home. No dinner, and her manga from the library had been confiscated. She no longer had library privileges. They even took her library card, just to make sure. And of course, it didn't matter if she explained the situation.

Yasu's father helped fund the orphanage, after all.

Two Weeks Later~

Okita's nose was mostly healed by this point, though there was still a bit of bruising. Her uniform had simply been tossed, and she'd been given a hand-me-down uniform from one of the older girls at the orphanage, which was just a bit too small. At least her glasses were new, out of necessity. As she'd expected, she was blamed for the paint. The Disciplinary Committee had an official report from an 'eye witness' that she had tripped and fallen while carrying the paint cans, spilling the paint and breaking her own nose in the fall, only to flee the scene upon seeing the mess she'd made. She wanted to scream, to tell everyone what really happened. But when her main tormentors had all the power, both over the students and even the teachers due to her father's influence on the school board, that did her no good.

Of course, Yasu and her group couldn't just take a break. Various pranks, 'accidentally' injuring her in gym, dousing her in things, tripping her up, hiding or destroying her possessions.... and now, she couldn't even hide in the bathroom like she sometimes did.

Two days ago, some girl had been found murdered in the bathroom of a nearby school. Students were required to use the buddy system when going anywhere in the school now, including the bathroom. This was not the source of her current problem though.

She had to go to the gym showers after someone had 'accidentally' spilled their lunch all over her. Judging by the way Yasu was smirking, she'd immediately assumed she'd orchestrated it. When Yasu volunteered to be her 'buddy' to go to the showers, she knew it for sure.

Yasu had been passive the whole way. Calm, polite. It set Okita on edge more than she'd thought possible, and by the time her shower was finished and Yasu hadn't done anything to her, she was practically shaking from the stress. When she peeked out of the shower, the towel was still hanging there, untouched. Wrapping it around herself, she peeked into the locker room... and there was Yasu, leaning against the wall in seeming boredom, texting on her phone. She glanced up when she spotted Okita.

"Are you finished then? Dry off and get dressed so we can get going."

"...O-okay..." She didn't understand what was going on, but she didn't for one second believe that Yasu was suddenly deciding to be nice... which was confirmed when she discovered that her clothes were gone.

"Oh dear... you seem to be missing something." Okita's breath caught as she heard Yasu's whispered, smug voice over her shoulder. The towel was suddenly ripped away, and Okita hurried to try and cover herself, only for Yasu to grab her by the hair and start dragging her. "Oh, Okita-chan! How daring! To think you'd do something like this, I'm in shock!"

Okita tried to struggle free, only to find herself thrown out into the hall, falling to the ground. "My, my, Okita-chan... I never saw you as a streaker... you might want to get going though. I think the soccer team will be heading this way shortly..." She smirked as Okita let out a cry, and scrambled to her feet, trying to cover herself as she bolted down the hall. She suddenly found her way blocked by the head of the Disciplinary Committee, phone out and taking pictures. Okita whirled around, tears streaming down her cheeks as she bolted the other way only to slam into someone, knocking her to the ground. She looked up, seeing the captain of the soccer team looking down at her in surprise, along with the rest of the team behind him.

Then they were grinning... and laughing.... Okita turned to try and get to her feet and run, only for more people to be coming down the hallway. Both her exits were blocked, and Yasu was standing in the doorway of the locker room, putting on an act of surprise. "Okita-chan, what are you doing?! Have you lost your mind?!"

Amid the laughter, the catcalls, the sounds of pictures being taken, and the knowledge that she would never live this down, Okita could only curl into a ball and cry. Yasu came over after a bit, draping a towel over her and making a show of trying to comfort her, as she leaned in and spoke in a whispered hiss. "It's time everyone else saw you for the shameless whore you really are, Okita-chan."

Okita's sobs worsened, as she tried to shut out the world around her.

After a few days had passed Dark had entered his new school. He had kept his name from the other school knowing that it would garner him sympathy. He changed schools under the premise that he couldn't bare to attend the school his "friend" of many years was murdered. The school board understood and allowed the transfer after he was cleared of any charges. He still maintained his apartment and was allowed to be a student living on his own. 

Still as Sei Souska he went through his first class. The teacher introduced him and he stood in front of the class. Bowing slightly. "I'm Sei Souske, formerly of Tokyo High School." He knew that would prompt questions however he held up his hand. "Before you ask. Yes, I knew Kagura Satomi. No, I do not wish to talk about it." He feigned being a little choked up. and moved to his desk. He set his backpack down and went through his first couple of classes. He was prodded with questions and deflected them through out the day and finally it was lunch time. He had spent most of the morning "feeling out" possibilities, now he just wanted a moment to relax and observe. 

He watched a few things go on here and there. Like the last few schools he went to there were clicks and clubs that hung out at certain tables. He was fortunate enough that after deflecting questions all morning the other students left him alone at his desk. So far he didn't see anything that would stir him until he watched as a student spilled her food onto another girl. Any passing glance would see that it was an accident but he was looking much closer at the engagement. He noticed that a girl named Yasu was smirking a little so he instantly knew something was up and that it wasn't finished.

When he was finished with his lunch he noticed that the victim of the prank, Okita was being escorted to the girls locker room. Some kind of "buddy system" was in place as a result of his antics at his old school. His curiosity piqued he followed modestly behind. Moving into an empty class room where he sat and waited. It was several minutes later that he heard a commotion down the hall. Moving out into the hallway he saw that a large crowd had gathered and were whistling, laughing and taking pictures. The object of such a gathering was the girl Okita. He allowed himself to smile inwardly. He had found what he was looking for. 

He had a few options at this point. He could play the hero type and bust in covering her near naked form with his jacket leading her away from the prying eyes. Or he could pull the fire alarm making everyone move to the exits and swoop in. However he opted for the less obvious approach. He simply moved back to his class room and waited until the mob had dispersed. 

He hoped that the girl wouldn't be expelled for such a perceived antic. That would throw a wrench into his plan. He would need her in school in order to make things work. He needed to take his time with this one. Best laid plans and all. He had his shadows keep an eye on Okita and her antagonist Yasu. (I need to be subtle about this.) 

After school had ended for the day Sei wandered the halls after school had ended and tried to find his wayward soul. He figured she would be some place solitary like an empty class room or the roof or something. He often found Satomi on the roof when she wanted to be alone. So he checked there first.

Okita would eventually be found holed up in an empty classroom. She wasn't even bothering to read her manga, though she had it out. She should be going home, but she just wanted to be alone right now. She sniffled a bit, her crying having calmed over time. Her punishment for the incident had actually helped to improve her mood. She wasn't being expelled; just put into In-School Suspension for a week. That... was a relief. Not having to deal with her classmates, or lunch... able to just be alone to do her work, and read.

However, that didn't change what had happened... she curled up a bit, burying her face into her knees. They would never let her live this down, and worse, now there were pictures of her, naked, circulating everywhere. By tomorrow, she was sure everyone in the school would have seen the pictures, if not more.

Sei found the girl in an empty classroom and opened the door quietly and moved into the class room. She looked completely mortified. It also looked like she had been crying for hours. (Oh she's perfect.) came the thought. He walked over to her making enough noise so she would notice him. "Hey, you okay?" He didn't expect much of a response however he did make his concern sound genuine. "I don't mean to bother you. Being new to this school offers me a unique perspective on how people are. I know that girl was responsible for what happened." 

He backed towards the door. "I, I just wanted to make sure you were okay. I don't want to disturb you. I can leave if you want." he paused waiting for a response.

Okita jumped a bit when she heard him coming, and immediately was looking around for an excape route. She didn't know this boy, but being alone in a room with him seemed bad. She paused at his words though. "...You know?"

Sei nodded his head "Yeah, I know it was her. I'm pretty sure by the extreme she went to that it's been escalating. Anyway, I just wanted to see if you were okay. You know, if you needed anything. I know what it's like being the outcast in school." He moved away from the door noticing her frantic search for escape. 

He made sure her way was clear. "I'm not going to hurt you. You're free to go at any time. However, somehow I sense you're trapped, in more ways than one." He flipped a card on a desk. "My phone number and address. In case you want to talk." He started for the other door in the room.

This was strange for her. She... vaguely recalled seeing him in class earlier. He was a new student, wasn't he? So he probably wasn't under Yasu's thumb or anything... "...You're the one that was friends with the girl at that other school..." It occurred to her suddenly, and she felt a bit guilty for bringing it up, but she was conflicted about how to react to him.

He nodded his head, "Yeah, Satomi. She was, my best friend. Helped me out a lot. I, I just wanna honor her memory. So if you need anything. Just call okay?" He started to turn and paused "You want me to walk you home?" he shrugged "You know, in case she's waiting to ambush you again. I doubt she would do anything while you were with someone." He reached out his hand. "I'm Sei, Sei Souske."

Okita hesitated, clearly unsure of herself. After a long moment, she slowly stood up, adjusting her still-too-small uniform. She picked up her bag, and the card, before hesitantly taking his hand. "Okita Asano..."

Sei accepted her hand and stepped aside. "Come on. I'll take you home." He knew that she would be hesitant. People who've been through what she has often develop post traumatic stress syndrome. So first he would take it slow making sure to gain her friendship and trust. "if you don't mind my asking, why is that girl after you?" He wanted a full understanding on how to proceed with this one. So geting as much information as possible was key.

Okita contemplated how to respond as she walked with him, allowing him to keep hold of her hand for now. "...She thinks I did something that I didn't, and she's punishing me for it." She... wasn't comfortable telling him the full story just yet. He seemed nice enough, and as he was new to the school he likely knew nothing about her or anything, but she'd been tricked before. She'd see how things played out, and stay on guard for now.

"...Why are you helping me? We've never met before... and why were you in that classroom?"

Sei shrugged "It's as I said, I was worried about you. I know I have no right to however, I believe Kindness given is kindness received." He thought about it for a moment. "If all of this is just a simple misunderstanding then why not confront her about it? I mean it's a simple matter that she escalated out of control." He sensed her nervousness and released her hand. 

"Seems to me that if she would rather believe in something so adamantly. Then maybe she just wanted an excuse to bully someone." He paused and looked at Okita and he smiled a bit. It was a warm smile filled with amusement, respect and a bit of admiration. "Most girls who've been bullied to the extent that you have would have transferred or done something more... drastic. I'm glad to see that you have the strength of character to endure." It was true, he always looked for that quality in people. It made the "relationship" last longer.

Okita shifted a bit, uncomfortable with the praise. It wasn't something she was used to. "It's... not that simple. She saw something, and it was my word against someone elses. Someone she trusts completely... even though she shouldn't..." She bit her lip. "I tried to tell her what was really going on, but she doesn't believe me... she refuses to believe that they are..." She trailed off, wrapping her arms around herself.

"Can we... not talk about this right now?" She really didn't want to talk about it at all. She'd rather talk about just about anything else other than what happened that day.

Sei nodded, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to pry." He shifted feigning being uncomfortable. "I was only trying to help. I, I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable." He walked a little bit in silence. (This may be harder than I thought.) Came the thought.

A thought then hit him. "I couldn't help but notice when I saw you in the classroom that you had some manga with you. What do you like to read? I personally like the more fantastical and martial arts based genre. Slayers, Ranma one half and similar kinds." He moved to his locker and keyed in his combination. Taking out his book bag and shoes, he slipped them on and replaced his school shoes in the locker. 

After getting himself situated he turned to Okita "I'm ready when you are."

Okita got ready as well, thinking a bit. "Um... I like a lot of different manga... I like the ones you mentioned, but I also really enjoy Fairy Tail right now... and Sword Art Online, even though some people don't like it... I also enjoy the romance genre, though not if it's the main focus... fantasy and martial arts are good too though... I really enjoyed Dragonball, as well as the anime series... though I don't really get to watch anime much... or play video games..."

Sei's eyebrow quirked up. "Really? Why not?" He held up a hand "Sorry, I don't mean to press. I'm sure you have your reasons." He Made his way around to her locker and leaned against the adjacent one. Running his fingers through his hair he then shoved his hands into his pockets. "So if I may ask. What is it you do for fun?"

Okita shrugged a bit weakly. "I read, mostly... I get books from the library and read. If I have free time, I'll stay there for a bit and use the computers to watch some anime... and if nobody else is using the consoles in the Rec Room, I'll play some games..." She paused, sighing. "I'm... I live in an orphanage, and they... don't seem to like me much there..."

Sei blinked a moment. "Why not get an apartment? That's what I ended up doing. They offer school lodging if you can afford it." He picked up his book bag he had set down and slung it over his shoulder. "Not sure if you're comfortable with it or not being as we've just met and you have no reason to trust me, however if you want we can swing by my place one of these days so you can check it out. They really are nice."

Sei started towards the exterior of the school. "I'm not trying to sell you on it i'm just saying, it's an option. You would be more independent."

Okita shook her head slightly. "I've thought about it, but I couldn't afford an apartment..." At his offer, she paused again. "Um... I'm sorry, but I wouldn't... really be comfortable with that... maybe one day, but..." She shook her head again, wrapping her arms around herself under her breasts, biting her lip. As they were nearing the exit, a group of students that were late leaving passed by, but one paused, glancing at Okita, though she herself didn't notice. He seemed to say something to his friends, who continued on, while he hung back.

"Hey, Asano-san. How are you feeling?" At his voice, Okita finally took notice of him, and tensed up.


"I-Ishikura-senpai... I'm f-fine..." The older boy eyed her for a moment, then turned to Sei, holding out his hand.


"I don't think we've met. Shumei Ishikura. It's nice to meet you."

Sei immediately took notice of Okita's body language. He looked at the hand offered and simply looked back at the boy. "Sei Souska. I'm a recent transfer from Tokyo High." He took a step closer to Okita. "Is there something I can do for you?" His tone was low. He could sense something dark in this boy. He could feel a fear inside him.

Shumei raised a brow at Sei not taking his hand. "Alright... well, welcome to our school. I was hoping to talk with Asano-san for a second."

"I-I'm in a bit of a h-hurry, Ishikura-senpai..." Okita was clenching the hem of her skirt, looking toward the ground. She wanted to be far away from here right now.

"It'll just take a second, Asano-san. If you could excuse us, Souska-san?"

Sei maintained his ground. "She clearly doesn't want to." He held up a hand "I suggest you continue about your business." The shadows at his feet stirred slightly. Not enough to notice unless you were looking right at it. 

Sei moved slightly closer to Okita so their shadows merged a little and he moved some of his shadow into hers. That way if she chose to go with him to talk he would hear everything.

Shumei's brow furrowed. "Now listen here you-"

"It's okay... just... just for a second... right here... Souska-san, can you... walk over there, I guess..." Okita definitely wasn't happy, but in her mind, she was protecting Sei from a fight.

Sei sighed and nodded. He moved out of what would be perceived as ear shot and waited. Listening for what was to come next. He looked to the other people that accompanied the young man. "What?"
