Restrictions: Vetis has enhanced durability against blunt force and cutting damage. As she fights and uses spells, she uses stored Soul Energy. As Vetis’ soul energy drops to low leves, her Soul and Strength stats lower.This energy can be regained by absorbing another’s soul energy, resting or eating. Though she is able, eating and drinking are not required to sustain Vetis’ life.
Vetis’ soul cannot be absorbed, stolen or controlled. Her mind, however, can still be affected by mind-control or psychic attacks that are too powerful for her to resist normally. Also, her Soul Energy can be stolen or depleted forcefully.
The super form ‘Spatial Soul’ cannot be used at will. Vetis is unable to use spell cards or sealing arts while in this mode.
Soul Demons have a strong resistance to Demonic Magic and a weakness to Divine Arts.

Special Techniques:
Soul Force: Manifest soul energy through force. Can be used to push persons or objects, change direction in midair or cling to walls/ceilings. Changes to ‘Dark Force’ in her super form and gains a substantial power boost.
Shadow Sword: A sword of dark Soul Energy that can cut insubstantial/ethereal creatures. Vetis carries the hilt of a sword which she uses to perform this technique. This sword can also be used for normal attacks against weapons and armor. Changes to ‘Chaos Sword’ in super form and gains a boost in range.
Shadow Fist: Similar to the ‘Shadow Sword’ technique. Vetis runs Soul Energy through her hands and feet, enabling her to physically attack non-physical creatures. This technique also increases damage to physical enemies. Changes to ‘Chaos Fist’ in super form and gains a boost to power.
Spell Card: Vetis activates a spell card using her own Soul Energy. Cannot be used in super form.
Soul Shield: Vetis erects an aura that shields herself and allies from attacks. Vetis cannot activate spell cards while this technique is active. Changes to ‘Dark Shield’ in super form and stays active, increasing defenses.
Devour: Able to absorb energy from deceased foes and spirits. Replenishes Soul Energy, but does not kill the soul.
Blend: Able to hide user’s presence. Masks Vetis’ Soul Energy and scent. Cannot be used in super form.

Super Forms:
Spatial Soul: Vetis’ body becomes enveloped in a dark energy, creating the image that she herself is a ghost. Strength, Speed and Soul Energy double in this state, and Vetis gains the ability to warp short distances instantaneously. This mode depletes her Soul Energy, leaving her vulnerable after reversion. This form cannot be used at will, and activates automatically if she is near death. Vetis loses rational thought in this mode, and will not revert until she or her foe perishes.

Weapons and Precious Items: Vetis has an arsenal of spell cards she carries with her on missions and assignments. She can draw a seal on these tags for different effects. She has five well-known spell card elements: Fire (burning damage), Water (water damage, followed by freezing), Lightning (electric damage, followed by paralysis), Light (purifying damage, expels demons/spirits from hosts) and Sealing (drains energy from target). Tags can be applied from afar, or by touch.
Vetis also carries a series of purifying items used in rituals, such as magatamas and prayer beads.

History: Vetis was born in a small village in the Demon Realm. Her father died shortly after her birth, before she could form any real memories of him. Their region had been beset by conflict. Neighboring territories constantly tore at one another, quickly consuming resources and soldiers. Vetis’ father was among them. At the age of 10, she migrated with her mother to the Earth Realm in search of a less hectic lifestyle.
It was there they moved into a shrine and trained to become priestesses of some renown. Their abilities were honed well used to thwart spiritual unrest in the Far East. Vetis excelled in her training and began performing exorcisms by the age of 15. Periodically, her shrine is contacted by other organizations for assistance in spiritual matters.
