Abilities:
Flight: Has the ability to fly with flames under her feet(think Kirara) Enhanced senses(weak to the opposing effects) grows stronger with age/fighting. Eyes glow red when angry.
Youkai Sensing: Basically, just energy sensing. It has a medium range and unless she's actively concentrating she can't pick up anything but very general things. She can tell what race someone is, or how strong the are. It's naturally far more in-tuned with supernatural energies(particularly other Yokai)
High resistance to fire/heat based attacks, as well as mental attacks of the mind. Has the ability to put her own fire out.

Personality: Veranis is a mature, calm woman with a regal graceful air about her. She's generally very kind for the most part, keeping a level head in most situations. It takes a lot to get her truly angry(or just the right buttons) She's very motherly and protective of children in general.

Restrictions:
For stats, see stats, in demon form her stats double. Her fire manipulation is pretty good, as she can create and control it. Such things she can do with it is make fireballs of varying sizes, AOE(Area of effect) burst attack from her person ten feet around her being the base. Also flame breath attacks(in either form) Lastly, she can made them have explosive kinetic impact if she wishes. The standard uncharged amount is moderately powerful explosives, but she can charge to do more damage.(in normal fire's case, she can charge it up to blue flames)
Her healing means she heals at a faster rate then a normal person, a cut taking minutes while a bone would take thirty minutes to a hour at most. Her regeneration works about the same level, naturally she can't do anything too crazy like regenerate her head.
Phoenix Rebirth is basically going by the old legends of Phoenix's being 'reborn' after death. While Veranis unfortunately doesn't have the ability to come back to life, she does have a ability in line with the 'renewal' aspects. In short, if she recovers from a near death experience she will get stronger. If she lives that is.(5-10 points at most)

Special Techniques:
Flame Step: Teleports in a burst of fire, short teleportation usage has short cool down times, longer teleportations(I.E. to another city) take considerable more amount of time.
Heat Dome: Using her powers in conjunction with her demonic energy, she creates a fire-like barrier to block powerful attacks. It's in the shape of a dome and can be expanded. On the downside, she can't attack while holding it up and making it larger makes the shield weaker.
Fire Blast: A blast of fire, either like a flamethrower or a large fireball is lobbed at her target.
Screech: (Demon form only) Emits a loud, high pitched cry concentrated in a single area like a sonic attack. This can only be used in her demon form, since her human form doesn't have the right lungs and such to do it naturally.

Super Techniques:
Flare Alley: By flapping her wings hard, concentrating as she focuses her energy creating a mini tornado of fire(think firespin from Pokemon in anime form) not only doing burning(or explosive damage) but cutting as well. It can naturally lift things off the ground as well. Since its rather destructive, care has to be used when its actually used.
It's a draining technique, as such if she uses it too much Veranis will revert back to human form and have to rest a bit before going back into demon form.

Super Forms: Demon Form. In this state, she looks like a proud, noble Phoniex standing just as tall and big as legends. Her stats double in this state(2x) and her fire powers get a moderate increase.

Weapons and Precious Items:
Guardian Fang. A sword that was created from her father's talon and reinforced with magic in a similar vein to how Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's swords were created. Besides that, it has no real special effects besides being a strong sword. It can make itself smaller and less threatening, but that's about it.
Picture A special necklace, it allows a Daiyoukai Class half-breed to temporary be able to use their full blooded counter parts power-set. It works for a period of two hours, then has to recharge. When not doing that, it has a calming effect on the person, in effect acting as a 'buffer' to the energy so its not so much strain. It belonged to a friend, a long time ago but she doesn't much talk about it.

History:
Veranis' story begins a long time ago in the Feudal Era; the time were demons were the dominant race on the planet. She was born under the ruling north kingdom in Japan at the time, Lord Dasuike, her father, had lost his wife long before Veranis was old enough to really know what was going on. Needing a male hire and having a lot of pressure from various sources he eventually ended up taking another mate early when Veranis was five years old(for a demon like themselves that is)
Dasuike provided and looked after his daughter, giving her proper education, etiquette and the like so she could be a proper noble lady. Dasuike's mate, while not antagonistic wasn't the warmest person when it came to Veranis; the marriage seeming to be more out of a mutual benefit then any real love or feeling like the one before.
Veranis, when she was seventeen soon grew tired of things and wanted to leave. By then, Dasuike had two son's, either of them able to become the next hire. While Dasuike didn't entirely agree with his daughters decision, as long as she was happy he'd be fine with it. A sword was made later on and gifted to her, as a personal weapon to defend herself with as she explored the outside world.
For a time, the young Phoenix Demon simply wandered, fighting off other demons and humans alike at times. It was around a bit later she found a rather strange village. One where humans, demons and even half-demons actually lived together. It fascinated the young woman, since it wasn't something you saw everyday. Veranis introduced herself and began used to the peace of the village, enjoying the life there.
Like most things, it didn't last long before troubled started. A young budding Daiyoukai Lord had ambitions and that certain area happened to be in the way. Veranis, being the only one around was thus the only one strong enough to stand up to them. The two fought, and in the end it came down to Veranis having to use her demon form, while the other had use there's. In a long fight, Veranis won and she was since named 'Bringer(or lady) of the Sun' as a nickname for what her natural form looked like and how she fought.
Eventually, Veranis moved on, going to different places. Her time in the village had awakened something; a desire to protect and help more then ever. Small little stories and such began to float around her, even as time began to pass to more modern times. People have claimed to have been saved by a giant bird made of fire before. Since they don't stick longer then needed, the stories become nothing more then tall tales and legends.
Veranis joined the Goldsmith clan in more earlier modern times, and since then has been their and(others) strongest protector.
