Abilities:
Can see someone's race. Has the ability to grow stronger overall through fighting and training(his transformed state only) When transformed, he's considered of the Construct arch type then a normal biological being means he gains the traits of the type. So he's not effected by mind effects or poisons, nor does he need to breath.
Dark Vision; sudden exposure to light can off set this. He does not need to breath and has a high fire and heat resistance.
Energy Sense: Can sense energy of others, getting a rough sense of how strong someone is. Its very muted in human form, but in Hell Knight form far more precise. He can also see spirits and similar beings.
Ironically, despite stereotypes of what one would expect he doesn't give off bad or forboding feelings but rather warm protected feeling for those who can pick up such things.

Personality:
Brandon is a good laid back guy, with a bit of a decent sense of humor to him. He is slightly jaded but he doesn't often show it as overtly as more to keep it to himself. He is a man caught between thinking he has paid his dues and then some, but also finding the other part of him to using his power to protect people is too ingrained for him to completely ignore.
Though he doesn't show it, he is a somewhat lonely individual with a lot of regrets being displaced among other things being a big factor to it.

Powers: Supernatural physical stats when transformed. Control and manipulation of 'Astral Fire' which can be used for offensive and defensive purposes in a variety of ways as a more powerful and versatile form then traditional fire control. It can have physical properties and not subjected to traditional fire resistance with the ability to hurt non corporeal beings.
The passive ability known as "Hell Knight Soul" which gives him resistance to powers that target him but aren't direct damaging.

Restrictions: While the fire may not be affected by more traditional fire resistance, it still has to take into account other factors such as durability. Using such drains on his energy and enough use can tire them. See special moves for the things he can do with it. He may only use these powers when transformed.
He only has his superhuman stats when transformed; in base human state he’s at best enhanced with six times a normal person. .
Hell Knight Soul is purely a power vs power thing; if the person or source is more powerful it'll punch right through.

Special Techniques:
Vorpal Blades: Creates sharp, durable blades that are about as powerful as he currently is.
Astral Fire Portal: Creates a portal to travel through from himself and others, must know where he is going before he could use and has a minute cool down.
Fire Wings: Creates wings which can be used to fly, self explanatory.
Regeneration: By concentrating, he can regenerate lost limbs which appear as fire in where the missing parts would be, or damage to himself. The trade off is the energy usage and if not careful could revert to human form with over use or die of exhaustion.
Astral Fire Aura: This techniques allows a(slight) increase in physical defense, when active they’ll glow as seen in the picture.
Healing: By placing hands on the target, they will be engulfed in white purifying flames that will heal the victim, surprisingly not burning them even if they have no resistance. More skilled users can even regenerate limbs though Brandon isn’t among of them. It Can revive the dead provided their body is mostly intact and it hasn’t been passed twenty minutes.
Phantom Blades: With this technique, he creates six blades of the same energy that float around that can be used for attack and defense. When its active, he can’t use his other offensive fire techniques.
Fireball: Just your typical standard fireball, does explosive kinetic damage but is only moderately powerful unless charged.
Astral Dome: Creates a defensive shield of the same energy to block enemy attacks, he can stretch it for larger areas. Unlike others, it doesn’t get weaker by expanding though how far it goes depends on his current level of power at the time.
Astral Sphere: Basically, just a very supped up explosive fireball that does a lot of damage to the opponent and the nearby area.
Astral Infusion: By charging his energy through his physical attacks, he can moderately increase striking damage.
Astral Fire Burst: A 306 degree burst of flames from his person, also useful as a ‘get off’ me attack since it pushes nearby people back.

Infernal Tornado. Creates a powerful tornado around that devastates the area around him, but it takes up a Lot of energy, as such using it is very tiring and limiting. Can revert him back to human form if he over uses it.

History:
Brandon's story begins as many do on earth, but on a alternate one in a different dimension where super hero, villains and various meta humans were a common fact of life. However, Brandon for a time was a normal young man with a relatively normal life until years ago where it took an odd turn.
A demon from the underworld named Brazal managed to slip through the cracks, but they they need a mortal host to manifest themselves physically after they had lost their physical body, but more along the lines of a symbite since he can't take control without permission. Before Brazal simply wanted to use Brandon as a means to an end and get their own goals. Over time however of playing the long game, Brazal ended up actually caring for the host much to their dismay at the time.
This was how the Hell Knight was born, though of course given the reputation of demons from the underworld even if Brazal was Not evil anymore some would be more keen to shoot first and ask questions later making it something of a secret between the two.
Some years ago back home, there was a event known as the Chasm which caused a great deal of damage on earth not only turning much of the world into a post apocalypse like landscape, but also releasing a tide of magical energy through out the world. If it wasn't bad enough, this also caused the 'veil' of other worlds connected to blur, making many supernatural beings that are not so friendly lurk in the background.
The Chasm was caused by a being named Ellisar who hated humanity and most of the races that lived there and wanted to return earth back to its original shape. It didn't quite work as they had wanted, though it did cause a untold number of death. Meta humans of all types were the scape goat for all of this, leading to a love/hate relationship between them and normal people.
With all this chaos and uncertainty also brought a bit of opportunity which Brandon made use of being paid for his talents of being a 'hero for hire' though he personally would refuse that term. At first he worked alone but over time during his travels he made friends which worked along side of them, ironically all of them were either magical, supernatural or otherworldly in nature of some kind far as their powers went.
They formed a group called The Vagabonds, a name which stuck considering the motley crew came from all walks of life and shape with no real home to call their own at first. While they weren't the strongest beings in that world they did make enough difference to make some powerful enemies.
During a mission in the wild lands and dealing with some of the cults that roamed in the dark, the battle got a bit more on the hectic side when they partially summoned a powerful creature from the unknown to do their bidding, though incomplete. While the battle raged and the portal that brought them unstable, there was a explosion he was caught in upon its death.
When he came to, he didn't find himself dead but in a very different world then his own. Since then he has been keeping a low profile, and if possible find a way back home. Since its been some time passed part of him has accepted that perhaps this place will be his new home whether he likes it or not. If nothing else finding out his teamates status would be good enough for him.
