Dark and Winding Road

In the wake of the Chitauri attack on New York the Avengers went their separate ways until they were called on again. The world was safe because of their heroic efforts and victory but it was not to remain that way forever. In Asgard shattering events led to the death of Thor and Loki's mother Frigga and a war nearly cost the brothers their home but they worked together to fight back and reclaim the jewel of the nine realms. Thor returned to earth to be with Jane Foster unknowingly leaving Loki on the throne in Asgard disguised as Odin.

On earth villains started to stir and slink from their lairs now that the threat of invasion has passed to see what havoc they can cause to bring the heroes to their knees again. The X-men suffered their own losses during the battle of the cure war but are in for many surprises and many mutants were exposed to the cure that wasn't permanent. The Avengers have been called back into action with a few new members to go up against a threat known as Ultron and the other heroes residing in New York face their own villains among the struggle to live their lives. Old friends and new villains enter into the heroes lives bringing about changes to all and a new determination to save the world.
