Personality: Junpei prefers to be left alone. His upbringing and the state of the world have left him cynical toward others and, for the most part, a loner. His adoptive father taught him many things, such as how to be self-reliant, to live diligently, and how to hide his emotions. This lifestyle has led Junpei to academic success, as well as becoming an accomplished underground DJ. Unfortunately, his diligence has also left him with few allies and fewer friends.

Restrictions: Junpei is actually deaf. He was born with this defect; most Casus Angels possess some sort of defect at birth. By training his perceptive controls and mental processes, he is able to ‘perceive’ and manipulate the ripples of sound around him. He can effectively sense the locations of others within a certain range by picking up the faintest of sounds. Without relying on sight, Junpei can use his sound sensory to fight in the dark. By passing sound waves through his brain, Junpei can alter his bodily capacities (raise or lower stats). His techniques cannot be seen by the naked eye.
The ability to manipulate and sense sound is an extension of psychic ability. This method cannot create force; it manipulates force already in existence. The method cannot be used to redirect any force, just sound waves. It does, however, make his body and mind highly resistant to psychic assaults and mental control.
Junpei cannot create attacks from nothing. His offensive and defensive techniques require sound to be present during their use. If he were to, somehow, enter a completely silenced realm or area, he would be unable to use any of his normal techniques.
Note: Junpei is angelic, but of the ‘Casus’ breed. This roughly translates to ‘Fallen’. Junpei does not have wings, nor can he learn manipulate mana.

Special Techniques:
Force: Junpei launches nearby sound waves at the target from any direction he so chooses. Causes impact damage. Damage varies by degree of sound available.
Barrier: Junpei creates a wall of reverberating noise that blocks physical and energy attacks. This shield can reinforce itself with the sound caused from impact, reducing chances of breaking. The remaining force can be used to counter after blocking.
Playlist: By playing different songs on his mp3 player, Junpei can alter his body’s responses to pain, movement speed and regenerative properties. This ability can be used at-will. Needless to say, Junpei cannot use this if his headphones are removed.
Bring the Heat: A string of high intensity songs that increase Junpei’s heart rate. Greatly increases Strength and Speed, but decreases effectiveness of sound manipulation. Junpei’s eyes turn bright yellow.
Casual Listening: Songs that provide a steady beat. Provides for optimal sound manipulation. Junpei typically listens to this playlist in public. His eyes return to their natural color.
Cool Remedy: Slow tempo songs that soothe Junpei’s body. Durability and Strength drop drastically, but Stamina increases and Junpei’s regeneration property climaxes. NOT intended to be used during fights. Junpei’s eyes turn deep brown.

Super Techniques:
Sound of Silence: Junpei forcefully absorbs sound waves around him. This creates a deafened aura around him, producing the delusion that sound is nonexistent. He passes the sound throughout his own body, pushing his Strength, Speed, Stamina and Natural ability to the limit for a short amount of time. All of Junpei’s attacks release a cacophony of noise, which he can recycle for more attacks. The longer Junpei remains in this state, the stronger his attacks become. A greater amount damage is done to his body and heart as a drawback. Junpei’s eyes glow red while he is in this state.

Weapons and Precious Items: Junpei is always wearing his large, circular headphones attached to the mp3 player in his pocket. They are made of a special material; very sturdy and resistant to damage. Other than its material, there is nothing special about the headphones. He carries a few kunai on his person for quick or self-defensive maneuvers.

History: Junpei was orphaned as a child; he has no memories of his parents and doesn’t really care to. As a child, Junpei hated the silent world he’d been born into. He was a loner that kept others at bay with his logical, yet cold, disposition. This led to the boy’s isolation in the orphanage that housed him. It wasn’t until he turned six that he started to ‘feel’ the sound lost to his ears. He desperately trained the strange sense for a year. At this point, he was adopted by a strict, but good man: Hiroshi Hirayama.
Hiroshi is a successful businessman living in the city of Nikaho. He had never been married; climbing the corporate ladder was his only concern. This life was beginning to take a stressful toll on his mind. His thoughts were becoming darker and more self-destructive as the work continued to pile onto his desk. He was on the verge of deciding to end it one night at a bus stop. A small kid approached the bench and sat next to him. A strange event occurred. As if the boy could sense the man’s state of mind through his sigh and words, he began to berate Hiroshi for giving up. The experience was as humiliating as it was sobering. A few days later, the middle aged businessman located and adopted the boy.
Junpei’s relations with others are very concise, but he shares a special bond with this adoptive father. The two were lonely and shared a lot of the same views on life, despite their age gap. Their relationship could be described as ‘friends’ rather than ‘father and son’.
Today, Junpei juggles attending college classes and managing his own music career. Junpei has quite the ear for music and connecting with a wide demographic. His professional personage, Soundproof, is kept secret from the world. Even his producers and fans are left in the dark in regards to the musician’s identity. The only person who knows the MC’s identity is Junpei himself, and Hiroshi.
