History: Handsome Henry Weiland was great Street Fighter. In some circles he was very popular. Not widely known globally but to those who knew him, they loved him. Always kind and generous he was a fighter for the people. With his flashy smile to his trademark gloves he awed those who had seen his fights. His boxing skills were unmatched.
That was, until an up and coming fighter named Balrog challenged him. The fight lasted for 15 3 minute rounds. Both fighters were battered, bloody and swollen. As the clocked ticked away the time the two fighters clashed like giants. Each trading blow for blow. It was thought it would have to come down to the score cards however when they two warriors were in a clinch Balrog head butted Henry in the side of his head. The Referee didn't see it so there was no call. This dazed Henry enough and left him open to where Balrog let lose a hay maker to the side of his head. The last thing Henry saw was the mat coming up at him.
Henry woke up in the hospital a few weeks later. After a lengthy conversation with his doctor he was informed that if he continued fighting it could kill him. And so Henry was forced to retire.
Henry was devastated. This prompted a two year drunk that squandered most his fortune and destroyed friendships. Alone in his big house Henry was coming to the end. Boxing was his life and it was taken away from him. He had nothing. No friends, no job his wife divorced him and his savings were running out.
He found himself stumbling to a pawn shop to buy a gun to end it. He was stopped along the way by a woman who ran an Alcoholics Anonymous clinic. She introduced herself as Melissa Chandler. She offered Henry her business card and tried to talk him into sitting in on a session.
He said he might and took the card. He continued to the pawn shop and purchased a .357 Magnum. He figured that would get the job done.
Later that night he sat in his empty house watching his old fights. A bottle of Wild Turkey on one hand and the gun in the other. He placed a single bullet in the chamber and sat, staring at the weapon. As he went to set the bottle down he spotted the business card. He picked it up and stared at it. He could feel the weight of the revolver in his hand. Looking at he he felt that it represented all the troubles that weighed on him. He then looked at the business card. It weighed almost nothing. That's how he wanted to feel. He wanted the weight on his shoulders gone.
The next night he walked into the A.A. Meeting. Melissa smiled when she saw him.
Months later Henry had completed his A.A. course and started to attend collage. He also began dating Melissa. He now had a new goal in his life. If he couldn't fight anymore he would help those who could.
A year later Henry married Melissa and opened his own Gym. There he scouted fighters to represent in the circuit. His life was looking up. Then he got the best news of his life. Melissa was pregnant. They were to have a daughter. His life couldn't be better.
Until tragedy struck. Several years after they had met, Melissa was diagnosed with brain cancer. For two years she battled it until its ultimate conclusion. The invading tissue had consumed her mind. In the end, she couldn't even remember him.
After the funeral Henry devoted himself to raising his daughter and maintaining his career as a manager. Charisma now in collage leaves Henry to travel the world in search of talent.
