History: Eliza had a decent childhood. Her sister Rebecca got the most attention because she was more popular, more beautiful, captain of the Cheer leading Squad and smarter than she was. So Eliza tried various things to get her parents approval. She trained in Martial arts and brought home many trophies. However Becca brought home more. Her father was a Colonel in the US Marines so he was rarely home. Her mother doted on Rebecca a little too much and she was spoiled. The bright side however is that Eliza was able to study what ever she wanted and it was a hell of a lot cheaper than Cheer leading. So Eliza spent most of her time studying martial arts of various kinds. Only be chance did she get into street fighting.
One day after school she took the long way home. Her sister had just won a state championship and she didn't want to be witness to her mothers fawning over her so she went through some back allies and by some warehouses. There she heard people yelling and cheering. When she went into the warehouse she was hundreds of people gathered around a small clearing. In the middle there were two men fighting. One was a large man of Native American decent and the other was a young man in his mid teens with shoulder length blond hair who sported a red karate gi. The two men fought and and in the end the young man in the red gi was victorious. As they cleared the indian man away the announcer called for another challenger. Eliza was about to step forward when another man called out. He was a grizzly biker type and looked like a bear in leathers. Again the young man fought and was declared the winner.
This time Eliza wasted no time. She leaped into the ring and accepted the challenge. The crowed was stunned into silence. So was the young man. The as he recovered he popped his neck and assumed a fighting stance she recognized as being similar to Shotokhan Karate. She kept herself relaxed however she jumped a little when she heard someone yell "FIGHT!"
The young man took advantage of her moment of distraction and lunged at her. He was about to strike when she grabbed the lapels of his uniform and rolled her hips. The man went flying into a few onlookers. As he righted himself Eliza wasted no time and grabbed him again. This time she bent her kneed and rolled backwards putting her foot in his abdomen . She used his forward momentum and he backward momentum to launch the man again. This time he flipped in mid air and landed on his feet. "Judo." He said "Nice, I didn't expect that." he finished and inched closer. Again Eliza maintained her relaxed posture and inched closer to him. He lashed out with a kick and she caught it. It wrenched her arm a little. He was stronger than he looked. She twisted her wrist and threw her arm that caught the kick down. Then she turned and struck out with a turn elbow strike. It connected. She smiled and then turned to look. The man was smiling too he had blocked the attack to the back of his head with his well developed arm. At this distance he was quite handsome.
The two were locked for a few moments and then Eliza reversed her turn and lashed out with a hook kick. He ducked below as it soared over head. As she finished her rotation he grabbed her waste and tried to roll her over his hip. She then placed a hand on his lower back and pushed. This stopped her forward fall. He changed tactics and moved forward in almost a run towards a metal pillar. At the last 5 feet he pushed her towards the pillar. Eliza ran up the pillar about half way and launched herself at the crimson fighter. She was all over him like a spider monkey. She twisted, writhed and flipped over him and finally she held his neck and head between her thighs. Bending backwards she used her momentum and placed her hands on the floor flipping the other fighter up and over her body. He landed in a heap on the ground. She stood there panting. After a moment someone yelled and that set off the crowd.
Eliza wiped sweat off her brow and turned to walk away. The announcer handed her a money pouch. “There ya go kid, that was amazing!” he shouted over the crowd. The handsome blond fighter walked over and shook her hand. There was another man who walked up behind him and clapped him on the shoulder, “Well George you gotta crack down hard if you're gonna have a rematch with her.” he said. He was all charm. Any woman would have fallen for it instantly. He was trying to work it on her and she knew it. He was handsome with a boyish look. “I'm Kennith Masters and this is my little brother George.” He smiled. He was in his late teens. He held out his hand. She shook it not buying into his charm.
“Eliza Hicks.” She said still trying to catch her breath. She turned and started to walk away. This set Kenny aback. “H-hey, wait!” He said jogging to catch up to her. He handed her a card, “Here, just in case you want a real challenge.” He finished with a smile.
A week later Eliza was walking home from school when a red Aston Martin pulled up. The window rolled down and there was Kenny. “Hey, I didn't get your call.” Eliza kept walking and he rolled along with her. “Whoa there, come on at least lemme give you a ride home. It's the least I can do.” She kept walking. “Come on! Don't make me beg.” He said. She paused and turned. She couldn't help but smile. “Okay, just this once.” She said and walked over to the passenger side door.
Since then they've been inseparable.
