Personality:
Kai has had in the past a inferiority complex with his peers because of in his mind, limitations. He has sense gotten that but still feels frusteration from time to time about it, even if he doesn't ultimately let it stop him from doing what he feels he needs to.
He's relatively easy to get along with most of the time, but is protective of his sister despite being weaker. Kai prides himself in pulling his all in whatever he decides to take seriously.

Empower Body: Increase his physical ability along with fly.
Ki Sense: It gives the user the ability to sense Ki energy, though a person can hide it and some things obviously like androids they can't sense.
Hide Ki: With this move they are able to hide their own energy. Naturally, others can still pick up on it.
Ki Ball: Standard ball of Ki energy; nothing unusual though it can be charged.
Frigid Cannon: On the surface, its a standard beam though in this case the blue beam is charged with ice element giving a chance to freeze the target. If frozen, the strength of holding them in place is based on the user's.
After Image Strike: Creates several short lasting after images to confuse a opponent.
Homing Shot: A single powerful ball of energy, the only unique trait is the ability to control them remotely
Energy Lancer: Creates a lance made of energy to attack, rather straight forward. It does as you expect but nothing beyond whatever their current strength is.
Pulse Barrier: While it does have a similar function to a standard energy barrier, the difference is they can move which can be used for a ramming attack as well and not just a idle target.
Photon Wave: A area effect burst of energy from their person; the bigger the range the more energy it takes.
Trick Ball: On the surface, its a normal energy ball that doesn't seem like it do much if any damage. The saving grace is the technique traps the opponent if it connects, somewhat similar to the Imprison Ball. The user can then attempt to crush them or just let it explode. They are on the slower side so usually needs a distraction
Space Aura: . With this, the user can use their aura to survive in space provided they have enough ki energy to do so.

History:
Unlike many on his mother's side of the family, Kai was born seemingly a bit different which didn't become apparent until he got old enough to start training in earnest on a young age. It was noted that while his heart could not be denied, in terms of learning and progression he was learning and growing slower then normal. After a check up, it was also verified that he had a extremely low s cell count, enough that the healers said they would never be able to transform.
This wasn't something that stopped Kai, rising and overcoming adversity is what his people did and he attempted to do. It proved extremely difficult as he was always a few steps behind where he felt he needed to be, and his younger sister showed much more promise then he did, in many ways she was his opposite in terms of ability. Lila even earned a super form, something he was never going to be able to do.
While many didn't care, there were others in his circle that didn't respect him because of it or even poked fun at him which he got the nickname Long Shot which of course he absolutely hates.
After trying and failing different things and feeling frustration of what perceived as sharp limits, Kai has decided perhaps he'd just have to find something unique that would fit him if the traditional way was closed to him all while juggling the other half of his growing responsibilities.
