Personality: Nero is a young boy full of energy and curiosity. He’s wanted to be a part of Fairy Tail for a long time. He can be a bit of a hothead especially when someone’s messing with his friends and family.

Powers: Sun Ripple Magic: A lost magic taught to him an old man that simply called himself Zeppeli. It allows Nero to harness the power of the sun through controlled breathing having the effect of producing ripples of energy propagating from the bloodstream to the rest of the body and other objects in contact with it. The magic manifests itself as electricity-like sparks. Sun Ripple magic can also affect non-living things. An object charged with Ripple energy will have one or several attributes enhanced by the energy, making it a more effective tool, or weapon. Liquids conduct the Ripple especially well (and the user's magic shows on liquids as actual ripples). However while all materials can conduct Sun Ripple Magic more or less well, inorganic material such as metal cannot store the energy, which simply passes through.

History: Nero is the son of the Magic Weapon Blacksmith that lives in Magnolia, Joseph Cross. Nero has lived in Magnolia ever since he was born and has had one dream above all else as he grew up. To join the ranks of Fairy Tail and become a powerful wizard his family could be proud of. His chance came in the form of a old man named Zeppeli who was looking for a successor to pass the secrets of a lost magic called Sun Ripple Magic to. It allowed the user to channel the power of the sun through controlled breathing creating ripples, hence the name. Once he got a grasp of the magic Zeppeli used a technique called Deep Pass Overdrive to pass his own Sun Ripple Magic on to Nero shocking him. Shortly after Zeppeli passed away, happy that the legacy of Sun Ripple Magic would live on through Nero. After training in it a bit more with resolve to make Zeppeli proud and receiving a pair of metal gauntlets with the Fairy tail Symbol etched onto the back of them and Palm Magic forged into them from his father he made his way to the Fairy tail building to join the guild.
