History: Sahara hasn't actually been around for very long. She has memories of Nasuko's life; all of it, including in detail the death of Nasuko's parents. This is because Sahara is actually a fragment of Nasuko. She was created by a curious demon named Mephisto Pheles (Not to be confused with Mephistopheles.) Mephisto wanted Nasuko as his assistant in one point of her life and when Nasuko refused his offer, Mephisto took the matters into his own hands and created Sahara. Though Sahara was completely an accident. He had intended for Sahara to be exactly like Nasuko in every way. Initially when she was created, she was an exact replica of Nasuko but much darker and even went about killing for the sake of killing. But over time, Nasuko's desires to be human and not a monster grew within Sahara, giving her the new appearance. After leaving her creator to find herself, Sahara joined a cult of witches where she practiced dark magic for a year before looking for Nasuko again.
When Sahara met up with Nasuko again in Romania, Nasuko had already given up her memories, thus not having any memories of Sahara's birth. Greyson and Gilgamesh were living with Nasuko at this point as well. Sahara found interest in Greyson, seeing how Nasuko was involved with him. Constantly she tried to flirt with Greyson, trying to get him to sleep with her to hurt Nasuko's feelings. Greyson never wavered however and eventually Sahara and Gilgamesh hooked up. Gilgamesh, you see, is a big troll. He likes to toy with people, as does Sahara. The two became deeply connected after a couple tosses in bed and have been nearly inseparable since. Sahara still toys with Greyson, just to screw with Nasuko, but she's coming to learn she cares for everyone and wouldn't actually want to hurt Nasuko.
When Alyss brought Nasuko to this new world, Sahara was forced to travel with Nasuko since she is actually a part of Nasuko. Sahara originally embodied Nasuko's darker half but has since become a person of her own accord. Sahara, having woken up before Nasuko in this new world, has been keeping tabs on her sleeping other half, making sure no one disturbs her until she wakes up naturally.
