Personality: Retina is normally a calm, cordial woman. She enjoys company and is rather easy going for the most part, though sharp as a whip. If you're a friend, there's not much she would not do for you if its within her power to do. She's teasing and playful, but knows when not to do so. She doesn't much care for what others think of her besides close friends and family or sometimes in the nasty game of politics taking a dive by biting her tongue for the greater good.
She's never allowed her position to get to her head, and is for the most part level headed. Retina has a strong sense of justice and morals, but she's grudgingly accepted with her position, she may have to do things she may not like to keep the peace or ignore.

History:
Retina comes from the house of Raslend, a family that had a long history of going into various high positions whether it was politics or making social changes. Retina as a girl had little to no interest at first into that sort of thing, instead enjoying the more carefree life style. This changed when she began to notice the ruling government seem to be ignoring some of the less well off people in favor for the stronger and special favors. This is what sparked her to first get into politics.
About a decade later when Retina was in her mid twenties, she made a bid to be elected; in the Eldarain culture leaders were elected but out of habit still called King, Queen and such respectively. In a move that surprised the ruling elite who had been doing it longer, she managed to win and completely stunned them as it was the first time something like that had happened in a long time ago.
During Retina's current rule, she ended up getting married and settling down with her career and having her daughter. Dalum, unfortunately died early on during a away trip from the planet from Space Pirates, causing Retina to hold a slight grudge towards them since.
Retina has done her beast to raise her daughter to be ready, but not pushing her to completely go through if that's not what she wants. Though, it seems Peach is following her mother's foot steps and feeling the same call she did.
She couldn't be more proud of her daughter.
