Vehicle Name: Name
Faction: Nobus.
Height: 4m / 13'
Length: 15m / 49'
Physical Appearance:
Weight: 5,000kg / 11,000lbs unloaded, 8,000kg / 17,500lbs loaded
Power Systems: Rolls-Royce Turbomeca PTM722 Fission-Generator.
Type: Multi-Role gunship
Abilities:
Speed: 500kph / 300 mph
Defensive Systems: Advanced materials of the hull help counter laser and thermal-guided weapons. Redundant wiring/hydraulics allow for increased chance of minor hull damage not crippling critical systems, hardened frame at cockpit and fixed and tail rotors to ward off small arms fire. Active jamming counter measures.
Crew:2 (pilot, gunner).
Levels: Cockpit.
Equipment: Radar, LIDAR, Active ECM, Passive ECM, laser comms system, broad-band radio comms, Multi-spectrum imaging suite, laser designation, Active Digital Camo System, 'stealth' blades (minimal chop/noise)
Cargo Hold: None.
Weapon Systems:
Main nose cannon: General Electric VK117 Particle-Projection Cannon (PPC). Effective Range: 2k / 1 mile. Fires a short, high-intensity barrage of super-charged particles and energy capable of vaporizing upwards of 300kgs / 600lbs of reinforced concrete. Secondary damage include electrical backlash and EMP effects against un-hardened electronics, and extreme thermal radiation.
Port/Starboard Hard-Points: Capable of mounting a variety of weapon systems, primarily multi-rocket or missile pods. For maximum ordnance capacity, smaller racks can be attached to the outsides of the pods (as shown in attached picture). A few examples of possible rockets or missile types are listed below.
- Scatterable micro-rockets: One long range fire-and-forget rocket which releases between one and five dozen smaller bomblettes or dumb-fire rockets to 'pepper' an area (usually meant for use against soft-skinned vehicles or dismounted infantry)
-Guided missiles (laser, heat, GPS (smart), etc) (air-to-air, air-to-surface)
-Torpedoes.
Maximum Effective Range: 1000km / 600 mile combat range. (reduce by approximately 10% if sporting the added payload racks for heavy engagements)
Weapon range depends on style of missiles or rockets, ranging between 8km / 5 miles to upwards of one to 200 km at most. Usual payload allows for guided missile strikes up to 25 - 30 km range.
Rate Of Fire: Dependent on type of pod/rack system attached. Onboard guidance systems are capable of tracking upwards of 16 vehicle targets simultaneously.
Payload: Dependent on style of pod/rack, usually between 4 to 16 per pod (missile/rocket size, range, and power rapidly diminish the smaller the weapon is, naturally)
History: Has come into wide-spread use by Nobus following the War. Early prototypes saw action during the conflict, but did not come into wide-spread manufacture until the end days of the War. Named after the mythological wolf of Inuit folklore.
