General Description: The Yameko are highly intelligent creatures born and evolved into the Demon Realm. They are usually used as protectors of live stock and people in small rural areas or places where many predators native to the realm reside. Treating a Yameko as a partner instead of of a pet is the right approach; as they are too intelligent just to be treated like normal animals.

Personality: As noted, Yameko are highly intelligent creatures. They tend to work in groups and as a usual, hate being alone. There is always exceptions. Yameko can work with the various humanoid races of the realm, and once forming a bond can be quite protective of their 'pack'. They are surprisingly gentle with children and any predator trying to cause trouble will find themselves in a world of pain.
Though pack-minded, they're independent. Preferring to laze in the sun and keep a eye on those under its care. This is something that should be kept in mind; they are more akin to having another family member then having a guard down. If you treat them well and with respect, they will often incline in turn doing their part. In which case you couldn't ask for a better companion.
Yameko are also known for their seemingly fearlessness nature; not pausing to challenge bigger and more powerful predators if needed to protect their own. There has been cases of even almost disemboweled with them throwing themselves at the perceived threat.

Physical Description:
Typically, Yameko have green skin, but other colors exist such as silver, gold, and black. Their appearance is somewhat similar to a lion's, but with a 'demonic' twist. Male and female both have manes. These both act as a health indicator, status and protection for their neck against various attacks. As time goes on, the mane becomes thicker and as such harder for a enemy to down them with a blow in that area with methods such as teeth.
If unhealthy, the mane will begin to loose its shine. Their actually functions as a status as well. In the wild, sometimes despitues will be solved with two locking horns and who ever topples the other submits. Besides that its obviously a weapon besides the use of fangs and claws. Typically, they on average are about 9'11 feet tall and sixteen feet long roughly 1600 pounds or more fully grown. Exceptionally large specimens could be as much as twice that at higher end.

Life-Span: In most cases, they live about two hundred and thirty years.

Name: Yameko don't have names in the normal humanoid race sense, though they may be given names by others.

Relations: Yameko tend to stay away from the humanoid settlements, though seeing them in villages, rural areas and the like is hardly too uncommon. They need a wide area in which to roam due to their size so often aren't found in urban settings; at least not in the denser packed parts.
Yameko's are considered in higher regards in most humanoid circles within its native realm. That aside, Yameko seem to have no special anomistiy or kindship with many of the native creatures.

Yameko have highly evolved physical structure, as such they are very physically strong as far as physical stats go.
(EX) Sharp Senses: Yameko have sharp senses, which comes with the standard drawbacks.
EX) Spikes: Yameko can launch sharp spikes from their mane; the strength going up with them for projectile attacks.
(EX) Healing: Yameko heal at a accelerated rate but can not regenerate limbs. As such, a broken bone would at most a minute to heal. This added with their hardy bodies, overall tencious nature and endurance make them a highly persistent foe to enemies.
(EX) Resistent to posions and acids. They have resistant to common posions and acid-based damage.
(EX) Venom: Lastly, Yameko can channel venom either through their claws, fangs or horn to topple stronger foes over time or at least wear them down. It's not uncommon for this tactic to be used to bring down bigger game; creating small openings which to deliver venom too and allow it to weaken the enemy enough to close in.
