Restrictions: Yomiko’s ‘Dance of Darkness’ technique is a skill passed down from her master, but she has yet to perfect it. If Yomiko opens her eyes or is struck by an attack, the trance ends. In addition, she must be in a relaxed state of mind to use the technique. If she becomes emotional or distraught, she cannot begin or maintain this technique. Lastly, her reflexes are temporarily boosted in this stance. She can dodge attacks with a Speed up to double her base. Any faster, and she cannot dodge or parry the attack in time.

Special Techniques:
Dynamic Strike: A closed fist fighting style. Yomiko gathers Ki in her fists while attacking, boosting physical damage. This technique can also be used to punch through energy attacks, dispersing them. This style can be used with kicks as well.
Passive Strike: An open palm fighting style. Yomiko shoots energy through her palms as she strikes her foe, pushing them away and knocking them off balance. This technique can also be used to deflect energy attacks. This style can also be used with kicks.
Instill: Yomiko sends her Ki through an object she currently holds, temporarily strengthening its material. This technique can be used to effectively make a weapon out of any item within the user’s reach. Yomiko once used this technique to block a sword swing with a wooden spoon.
Tiger Bomb: A small, yet powerful burst of Dark Ki that sends foes flying. An attack with little reach (melee) but great power.

Dance of Darkness: Yomiko closes her eyes and enters a meditative state. In this stance, she sacrifices her senses of sight and hearing to focus on purely detecting the flow of energy around her. She will start to sway and move about swiftly, much faster than her original movements. Yomiko can freely dodge and counter attacks from foes that are invisible, faster, or simply cannot be sensed normally.

History: Yomiko was born in China and, for a time, raised by her mother alone. Her good-for-nothing father left shortly after her birth, so she has no memory of him. As she grew, Yomiko quickly became fascinated with literature and books. She surrounded herself with them, basking in the myriad stories and far off worlds they spoke of. Worried for her daughter’s social standing and well-being, Yue took Yomiko to live with her grandfather, Ming.
Ming was, and still is, a martial arts master. His dojo is large in stature, but small in participation. Ming refuses to teach his art to just anyone. He didn’t even teach the style to his own daughter. However, he noticed something within Yomiko. She had a natural affinity for using Ki, though she was largely unaware of this. She was socially reclusive and kept to herself, but periodically got into fights with bullies at school. She never fought in self-defense, only to protect others. This show innate compassion and potential led Ming to take on Yomiko as his next apprentice.
After nearly a decade of training, Yomiko was able to learn Ming’s final technique. Though imperfect, she grasped the basics. At this point, her training under her grandfather ended. She had already finished school well before the rest of her age group, so she left. Yomiko left home not particularly to pursue greater martial arts, but in search of different literature; her true passion. At her current age, though very young, she owns her own library and works broadly under the field she enjoys most.
