Irene is usually pretty kind and gentle, though she Can be rather aggressive when it comes to protecting somebody close to her. She is pretty quite at most times, instead reflecting inward before speaking. Though she can be said to be somewhat naive about the world and its way, there's some wisdom in her.

History:
Irene and the rest of 'Sif' were made in a lab as a experiment to create artificial Chevlairs. There is a race called Chiropteran's and of the race, only the 'Queens' are able to breed, however to do so they had to turn humans into their kind. These turned humans were known as Chevlairs, and their purpose was also to protect said 'queens'. For whatever reason, the opposite blood from other Queen was fatal to the other. Why that is no one is sure.
Along with others, Irene was mostly there as a test subject and the people who made her had little regard for her well being or others. Eventually they escaped, one of sciencetist there having told them the only 'cure' for a illness that slowly kills them called the thorn resided with a girl named Saya.
After that, they searched for the Queen named Saya, for a while coming up empty handed. Eventually, Irene was found by Kai, a young man who had become the adopted older brother of Saya. By a stroke of fate, or luck, the two reached a understanding with one another and became friends.
Kai tried to convince a reluctant Saya into giving Irene and the others blood and would have if not for one of Diva's Chevalirs getting in the way. After getting seperated, there wasn't as much time to get Saya's blood and before the idea could be proposed again, Riku, Kai's younger brother had been killed by Diva. This lead them to the conclusion Saya's blood was not the one they were after.
Through a long trial of events when things were finally over, there was a cure found for the thorn and she and the surviving Sif were able to live their lives. Irene has taken to staying with Kai for the most part, and every once in a while, goes out to see what's other there and everything she missed.
