History:
Gig's history is complicated. He was originally an evil being but due to the journey he was in and the fact his soul had been stuck in a sword, it mellowed him out a great deal. During that time he also had partial amnesia of who and what he truly was. When those memories returned, he went back to his old job.
That is things revolving around the spirit world in general, it sometimes overlaps a bit with Soul Reapers though there's some differences.
