History: Elsa was raised under her mother to be obedient and how to be a 'proper' vampire of their race. As such she was forced into studying all the time with very little show of affection or compliments from her mother so she could be raised the 'right' way. For a long time Elsa was lonely, but with how she was raised she ended up keeping this to herself and acting with how she had been raised to.
The arrogance and superiority was more of just a mask, which she wore so long she didn't even know she was wearing it. Eventually, she lost a custody battle and her daughter was taken away. The outcome and the words spoken to her during that time made her rethink things. Now she's been traveling along to re discover herself and become a better person.
