Popular among students and faculty, Lina is perhaps as close to the ideal teacher as one can get--kind, assertive, patient, knowledgeable, and always willing to lend a non-judgemental ear to her students. Though her job is occasionally stressful--and leaves her less free time than other jobs--she relishes the chance to help instill a love of knowledge and history into the younger generation.
Few know that, as a teenager, she was something of a... firebrand. Her personality was much the same, but due to her parents at the time being workaholics to the point of neglect, Lina ended up falling in with a bad crowd While this would have inevitably set many on the path to an adult life of, well... criminality, Lina was far more fortunate, as a particularly determined and kind teacher of hers not only helped set Lina on the right path, but also helped her parents realize that, while working so much did put the family on more-than-solid financial footing, the cost when it came to their daughter's emotional well-being was too much. One might consider that teacher's actions to have been overstepping their bounds or being too nosy, but it made Lina realize that, ultimately, the right person in the right place at the right time can make all the difference.
Ultimately, she went to college with the intent of becoming a teacher, like the one that had saved her and, really, her family. She succeeded, and now has an enjoyable, if occasionally stressful, job teaching Alusarian, Galactic, and, if asked, Acorian history on Alus.
