Physical Description: Shiori is a small framed girl that most would describe as 'cute' in some way. She has silver hair, violet eyes with a small blue ribbon on the side. Due to being out in the sun on her costal village, Shiori has developed a bit of a tan which is seen on her skin, though ironically her mother doesn't. It could have been part of her half-demon heritage.

Abilities:
As a half-demon, Shiori possesses enhanced senses. Sight, smelling and sense of touch to a minor degree. She can pick up things above a normal human but still not at absurd levels--especially given her small age. Naturally as a half Bat Demon, her sense of hearing is the best out of her senses. In addition, she can see to some degree in the dark having night vision.

Personality: Shiori can best be described as a gentle, sweet girl though she has a number of underlining trust issues because of her past. Shiori does Not like large crowds and will avoid them if possible if she can nor does like to be alone. She is a young girl who wants to make bonds with people, but is at the same time timid to make the first step at times. If she deems a person safe early on or they make her comfortable, its easy for her to make more of a effort.
She's also very intelligent for her age, but seems to be more quite. Shiori is often more on the dreaming side then a chatter box, though there are of course exceptions depending on who she is with at the current time. Shiori has a intense fear of Demon Hunters. This fear was planted in her mind after she and her mother escaped from one. She has not encountered one since luckily, but that rocky encounter has cemented itself in her mind.

Powers: Shiori can create a transparent slightly purple and red tinged barrier around her person. Her grandfather originally used her to protect him from attacks behind the barrier as most attacks simply bounced off harmlessly. It's not however without a number of flaws.

Restrictions: One of the first, is the barrier is weaker then it was originally. It can take some punishment for sure but its not quite the powerhouse it was when Shiori possessed the Red Orb that was in her family line. In addition, she cannot move when the barrier is active leaving her a sitting duck. The barrier while powerful is draining on her small form and will have adverse effects if she keeps up the pressure as her young body can't handle it. Ranging from coughing blood to feeling very weak and needing rest.

History:
Shiori was born between the union of her father Tsukuyomaru and her mother Shizu. Her father hailed from a clan of Bat Demons that caused havoc to various villages and the like on feeding grounds. They would go one place, feed on that area, then move on when nothing was to be gained from being there anymore. Shiori's father was different from many of his brothers and sisters of his clan in the sense he didn't hurt humans and avoided needless violence.
Eventually, met a human village woman named Shizu, and from them Shiori was born. For a time, attacks on the village ceased until the unfortunate death of Tsukuyomaru which was caused by his father who was disgusted he had fallen for a human. Much less made a promise to keep a bunch of humans 'safe' from further attacks.
With Tsuskuyomaru gone, the attacks on the village renewed with vigor at the command of Shiori's grandfather Taigomaru. It got to the point that in order to appease them and ward off further attacks, Shiori would be offered to go with her grandfather. Around that time, Inuyasha and his group had came into the village in order to learn how strengthen his sword.
It was eventually found out that Shiori was the current guardian of the barrier. As such, Inuyasha would need to kill the holder to strengthen the sword. Naturally, he refused and instead decided to try to get Shiori back from her grandfather. The first attempt proved unsuccessful, however the coming night they went to raid the village. Inuyasha and his group faced off against Taigomaru but were unable to harm him due to Shiori's powerful barrier.
Shizu at a lost moment plea begged Taigomaru to honor her son's wish, but instead they scoffed and said bluntly they had killed their own son. It was at that point, Shiori fought the strength to push her grandfather out of the barrier which allowed Inuyasha to kill him and let Shiori and Shizu to live in peace.
In gratitude, Shiori offered Inuyasha the Blood Coral Crystal to shatter in order to strengthen his power so he'd be able to pierce Naraku's stronger shields. The first attacks on the crystal proved ineffective, but at the last moment, Taigomaru's soul came from the crystal. In a last desperate act of revenge, they attempted to attack Shiori and her mother but were stopped by Tsukuyomaru's own soul.
This also caused a crack to form which allowed Inuyasha to shatter the crystal and thus finally accomplish what he had set out to do in the first place. With his mission set, Inuyasha and his friends left Shioru and Shizu to live their lives in peace.
Or so it seemed.
Tragically, Shiori lost her mother a strange illness a few months later. With Shizu gone, the villagers more or less kicked Shiori out of the village. Alone, scared and lonely, Shiori wandered trying to make it out on her own. While on the outskirts of another village, she was sucked into a unknown portal; ending up in a scary new place completely alien to her.
