Earth Realm

Overview

The Realm of Earth is where much of the events take place. No one is quite sure exactly why it attracts so much attention(or rather is also in the center of it). Despite this and all matters of attacks and invasions in the past the place has always somehow remained in one piece. In this particular version of earth, the supernatural is known by humans. While relations aren't perfect they are at least good(and for the most part adequate). This mostly has to do with the work of the Dragon Lord Reifer, and those in his own circle.

Even with this peace, there are those who are power hungry who would disrupt or change things to their own end. It's unknown what the future main contain, but for now things seem to be going in a good direction. At current, earth is guarded by three Goddesses, Nao, Morrighan and Reinforisch Hita. The last one is the current Kami and guardian of earth.

Government and Currency:

At the moment, while most of the day to day things are handled by their own leaders, earth at current has been united. As such, there is a thing called the 'World President' and the World Council when dealing with grave affairs that effect the entire planet.

Earth uses many of the current real world currency, such as dollars, Yen, gold and the like. It also accepts currency from its closer allies; such as Halzara and Alus. The newer currency, called Sol are essentially special coins of different colors worth a certain amount: Silver is worth 100, Gold 50, Green 20, Red 10, Orange 5 and Blue 1. Finally, the last one is black which is the equivalent of cents. To tell how much its worth individually is a number by it which acts a stand in for the value of dimes, pennies and so on by the quality.

Culture and History:


The main earth of Meus Ceus in many ways not so radically different from ours. It's home to a large, diverse type of cultures from all corners of the world including many of the same ones we have or counter parts of them.

There are numerous races that make their home here, but the most common and native races are four:

Humans, Dragons, Primogen and elves.

Of the four, the last two are actually evolutionary spin off's of humans. Elves are a obvious ones, but Primogen is a catergory for 'living vampires' for lack of a better word. With that being said it of course does not cover all sub races that might belong under the Primogen label. The undead that are more known in movies were actually the result of a experiment humans trying to gain the powers of the Primogen themselves via dark magic, which naturally went wrong.

Earth was once dominated by the dragons which in their height their empire stretched across the globe which lasted for a thousand years known as the Atlas Empire. However, it eventually collapsed due to a number of factors one of the main reasons was dealing with Halzara when they were enemies and outsider enemies, low birth rates and the like.

It has of course been home to various other races of usually small number, though in present times there are more living here then there has been in the past.

Technology Level:

On the surface, earth resembles 21st century very well but on closer inspection its much further along. One of the key differences is the knowledge of realm travel, which is commonly known about and used. Since earth is a realm highway of sorts to many others, its much more heavily monitored via Nexus City. Nexus. Usually, if one wants to visit Halzara for example they would have to go to Nexus City to be dropped off in the proper places that work not that much different then a plane ride; except going much further.

Ironically, earth's space program is in its infancy and is still getting off the ground.

One of the other notable and useful everday civilian technologies is capsules made by the famed Capsule Corp. You can basically store a single item as big of a house and release it, basically allowing you to carry much more on your person.

Nexus City

Due to the fact Earth seems to attract all matter of off world beings from different dimensions, something needed to be done. One of the last great break outs that made this paramount a long time ago was an invasion from the Abyss, in a war that only lasted for two years but did considerable damage. In response to this, governments got something together. Using bits of off world tech and magic, they effectively changed the 'flow' of the warp holes. In effect, it made it harder for really powerful off world beings to freely enter earth. While they couldn't close it completely, it at least made it to the point most(barring a few exceptions) where most beings had to enter Nexus City first.

A special Organization called Nobus was formed shortly after. It dealt with organizing and keeping potentially dangerous off worlders from causing trouble. But it also deals with help placing people and putting a sense of order. It's not to say, of course, a perfect system or Organization for that matter but its functional.

Youkai Academy


The Youkai Academy was formed somewhere a long time ago, most believing back in the 1940's or earlier. As the name implies, it deals mostly of various super natural beings of different races and backgrounds. There's an barrier that keeps it hidden from the outside world which was formed by the 'Dark Lords'. It should be interesting to note, that that the barrier was also made with the help of Reifer Tarsan and Sesshomaru, but that is unconfirmed.

Even though relations between Youkai and human kind isn't terribly bleak, the barrier remains in place and it keeps more of a private school. The only way to get there usually is by bus, a very strange one in fact.
