Poitreene smiled a bit.
"We'll, they're like people so some aren't but for the most part they are. I heard they even have a Queen of their own who is well respected and like. Hm..I'll have to see about taking you there some time Tiffania." It was something to think about, but in the present she'd enjoy the here and now. Besides, Poitreene was adamant about Tiffania meeting Lloyd, Sheena and Colette before they left.
"In the mean time, why don't I show you the forest?" Now that, she was sure Tiffania would like. And it was a chance to finally bump into Lloyd.
* *
The actual arrival to the forest didn't take all that long for the whole group. It was around mid afternoon and the forest was in full swing. Sun peaked out from the tree leaves while smaller animals looked at the strange group of humanoids curiously but cautiously as they weren't sure if they were predators or not.
This was really just one of many natural forest that came about, animals and the like lived here without people interrupting its peace for the most part. There was a couple of reasons forest had come along and been made with this realm. For one, tree's, especially natural ones like this provided a lot of clean air. Animals played their own part, but this meant predators had to be introduced to keep their population down from getting too much. Prier hadn't a clue of what to introduce, so she referred to Poitreene.
Being a few thousand years old came with perks. While a lot of Poitreene's knowledge was incomplete, she did have a fair amount for her time living. She had suggested predatory species that avoided humanoids for the most part. This established more of a common ground between things that most people are at least content with.
On their trail to go deeper in and find Lloyd on the training grounds, Croix stopped frowning at something. It took a moment for Poitreene to see what it was, and Culotte stopped too.
In front of the dusty trail was a large, green lion. It's tail was long and curved, a sharp horn sprouted from its head. Even while laying on its side, the creature was massive. If Poitreene had to guess, it probably would have been at least nine to ten feet just standing on all fours. Poitreene was positive it was a Yameko, it had to be.
However, it was deathly still and there appeared to be no injuries on the creature. Croix went closer to investigate.
"Hang on, I'll make sure its safe."
Croix went closer, finding that the Yameko was in fact dead but there was no injuries on it so it likely died from natural causes like old age. What surprised him more was certain two little things.
The first was a young Yameko, probably no older then a few weeks. They resembled the deceased one but far more harmless looking. While they had the horn, it wasn't nearly as pronounced, with more looking like a small extension. By them was a small wolf-like dog, black fur except for the top that had a spotch of red on it. Risch Sheppard too? That was confusing on Croix's end but not unheard of what little he knew.
"It's okay its safe but..just see for yourself.." Croix muttered.
Poitreene gave Tiffania a reassuring smile before gently taking her along hand still in hand, though she felt a bit of sadness at the deceased creature. The two came, along with Culotte in tow.
The little Yameko was just watching the group while the Rish Sheppard poked the unmoving adult with its snout, whining from time to time. Finally, it seemed to notice the group. There was a odd, startling amount of intelligence in the eyes of what people would dismiss as just animals.
"What do we do with them?" Culotte asked finally, the gears in his head already turning.
"I mean we can't just..leave them here.."
