"You fucking bastard!" Camila saw red(literally) in this case after what happened with Ty.

"Camila, hang on!"
Ningal heeding went unanswered, as the Dhampir fired a few shadow energy bullets at the necromancer, her face twisted into rage. Trying to talk her out of it right now would be near impossible, she was beyond reasoning at this point.

The elf didn't think Ty was dead, she didn't know why but just had a feeling but she couldn't confirm it. She focused on the upcoming threats.

Emanulle was already moving.

He fired a burst of energy through a row of soldiers before some were fully even out of the soil. Quick, calculating with a bit of controlled rage was a very dangerous combination.

As the bullets flew toward the necromancer, the scythe reappeared within its grasp. One by one the bullets fell to pieces, cut away by the dancing scythe. The necromancer's movements were on a completely different level. It was as if the blur of its movements were too fast to see. It didn't need to stand. Leon followed up with a slash of unleashed shadow energy. The necromancer batted it away with his scythe as if it were a trivial matter.

The enemies in the wake of Emanulle's blast were dispatched quickly. They crumbled under the energy's pressure and soaked back into the earth below them. As they did, the seal under the necromancer glowed in fraction. Portions of the seal were beginning to illuminate in a clockwise pattern. A blue hue radiated from the strange light. After their defeat, curiously, the soldiers did not reanimate, nor were they replaced by more foes. In the mean time, the skeletons wielding spellbooks chanted in a foreign tongue. Shards of ice and balls of fire the size of golf carts began to rain down on the clearing. The skeleton soldiers maneuvered about as if their attacks were coordinated. Ayame did her best to deter the spells from reaching their intended targets. She erected walls in various locations above them. This, unfortunately, diverted her attention from the foes about her. Leon dashed back to her and crushed a few oncoming soldiers.

"Somebody stop those damned mages!" He would gladly do so himself were the soldiers not turning their attention to the shielding knight.

"Thank you, Leon. Camila, calm yourself! We should defeat these foes then focus our attentions to the necromancer!" She created more roofs to block the flaming boulders and chilled spikes. The remaining solders were beginning to come at them harder and faster. It appeared that the fewer there were, the greater their individual powers corresponded.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ty opened his eyes to darkness. He looked in every direction, but could not see. His body, however, was completely visible as if it were lit. It even glowed slightly. "Okay... I'm not hurt or anything, but the 'I'm dead' theory could still hold." He spoke aloud. His words echoed back from nothing. Suddenly, a room rushed up at him from below. "WHOOOOOOAAAA!!!" Ty felt the sensation of free falling as if he had done so for miles. Gently, he landed on a wooden floor. Feeling it was solid, he again checked his surroundings. The walls were lined with shelves holding various trinkets, totems, weapons and objects.

He was inside the vault.

"Oh... Okay." Ty blinked after taking in the scenery. He yelled up into the black abyss. "You could have just opened the door, you know! ...I'm talking to myself..." He started walking through the elongated hall in search of, well, he wasn't sure. Just as he was beginning to question what the hell to do next, a loud sound caused him to whirl around toward its origin.

A pile of bones had accumulated where he landed. More came toppling down from the sky. Ty stared at the pile for a moment, unsure of what in god's name was going on. It was when the pile began to rumble that he took a combative stance. The bones stood and collected into a solder, one that was just dispatched from the door's entrance to be precise. Ty made a few hand signs and prepared to fight. He couldn't feel his chakra. "What the-?" He reached for his ninja-to. It was missing. As were the rest of his weapons. All he had on him were his clothes and the scroll. "You've got to be kidding me!!" By that time, six or seven soldiers stood and began their advance toward him.

"Crap!!" He turned and ran down the corridor. He had a feeling he needed to get his business done. FAST.

Emanulle noticed that, naturally. If that was going to be the case..perhaps it would be a good idea to try get all the enemies in one attack. The problem was how he was going to do that. In the mean time, he focused on keeping the knights off Ayame, fist glowing with demonic energy.

Gritting her teeth, Camila forced herself to calm down, going by where the others were, she focused more on the mages, firing shadow bolts at them to keep them off balance. Ningal took point.

"I need to get as many of them at once, if not all if we can!" Emanulle said over the noise of battle. "That way we won't have to worry about them getting stronger!

"Good idea, but how?" Ningal questioned, circling around.

"I'm going to make a dome of energy, Camila I want you to try to just move them in the center using your shadows. Ningal, you're going to use your wind in a similar matter. It doens't matter if you harm them, just move them. I'll handle the rest. Ningal, you'll see a energy dome, go to the top and send your cutting winds through it like a blender then scatter."

Camila and Ningal nodded, the Dhampir using her newfound shadow-energy powers to have 'tendrils' appear out of them to knock them towards the center while Ningal zipped around, using her wind.

Emanulle merely took a step back, his demon form taking effect as he floated off the ground. Holding up a hand, he launched a small ball of energy towards the center mass; moments later it expanded creating a large 'energy dome'.

Moving at a insane speed, practically flying, Ningal appeared towards the top, striking a sword down at the top of the dome.

Wind. A heavy burst of powerful wind erupted from inside the barrier, acting like a sharp blender before she backflipped off and landed by the others.

Emanulle simply closed a fist.

"Shatter."

The energy dome closed in and then exploded.

Though coordinated, the soldiers were not privy to the new strategy. Most of them took the pulls and blows in stride. Their endurance was already heightening dangerously. When trapped in the dome, they attempted to break out with combination attacks. These were fruitless; their bodies were torn asunder or weakened by the condensed tornado, then blown to bits in the ensuing explosion. The necromancer looked on with an emotionless posture. Every skeleton warrior had been destroyed, quickly at that. The seal beneath him was completely illuminated shortly after the explosion.

Success... The wind carried the disembodied voice through the group as the necromancer stood. The scythe reappeared in its hand as it stepped forward beyond the seal's threshold. As it stepped out of the circle, its body split into two mirror images. One returned to its original sitting position, the other calmly pointed its scythe toward the party. It appeared to not have expected such a swift conclusion.

The clone appeared to grasp energy from the air itself. The mist swirled up into its palm; the dark energy danced about akin to a foul flame. Do not... interfere...

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ty found himself flanked by two skeletons. Though he didn't have weapons, he felt his reflexes and strength were intact. As one lunged forward, he brought his foot up and ax-kicked its skull to the ground below. The soldier behind him came forward as he disarmed the first. Using its sword, he dismembered the second foe with ease. "Heh. No problem!" He slashed the sword a few times to get used to its weight. He may have to use it in the immediate future. He looked down the corridor behind him after hearing a noise. The noise erupted into a uproar. The uproar escalated to a stampede. There stood the entire undead army that had been killed just outside the barrier door.

"Aaaww... shit." Ty dropped the sword and took off in a full sprint. The horde trampled after him.

Camila, Ningal and Emanulle watched the thing warily. The Dhampir had calmed down a lot since then but was still angry.

"Interferre with what? And what the hell did you do with Ty?" Camila didn't think the thing was going to answer, but she damned well better try.

The clone stood its ground, unmoving in any way. The rasping whisper came from the wind, Trial... For right of passage... Necessary... The words appeared to be slightly choppy; they were fragments of sentences purposely constructed to form vague, yet concise responses. There was no change from its posture, however. The only noticeable alteration to the scene before them was the circle's light below the necromancer. Slowly and slightly, second by second, it was dimming.

Two minutes...

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ty scrambled about, dodging falling stalactites of ice and boulders of flame. There were even the occasional thrown swords whizzing by his shoulder. "Why the hell are there so many of these things?!" For what felt like an eternity, he had been running through identical corridors of random junk deposited on the shelves. Suddenly, he happened upon a wall he recognized. It wasn't the wall itself, more the objects on the shelves. There were scrolls, treasures and weapons he remembered from childhood and training. This location seemed the best, if any. He swiftly scaled the wall to the empty pedestal amidst the other scrolls. He'd spotted a few other summoning scrolls along his path.

After placing the scroll on the empty stand, an insignia appeared on the stand itself. Ty took a look at the horde waiting for him below. This was not going to end will if he simply climbed back down. An idea struck him. He didn't have chakra at the moment for some reason. However, if he had consciousness to this extent, he was still alive. In some ways, he may be able to use his life force... but that was dangerous. If that's all he was made of at the time, that would only hurt him in the long run. There weren't any other options. Every fiber of him screamed that this was a bad idea. The alternative shut that voice up. Ty let go and fell toward the horde below.

Concentrate... concentrate...

Ty focused on his 'body' as he descended. "Gate of Opening!" Before landing, a gust of energy blew away the surrounding skeletons. Ty felt a surge of energy rush through him, but a strain simultaneously. "Gotta make this quick..."

Emanulle, by now had dropped out of his demon form. He was still watching the figure carefully for any hostile movements. Ningal was doing the same. She didn't trust this creature, but if it wanted them dead, it certainly had the power to at least take one of them with it before it went down.

The Dhampir grit her teeth but put her weapons away. For now.

"Fine. Two minutes. If he's not back after.."
She let it hang. Camila crossed her arms and tried to remain calm.

The necromancer didn't move or respond. It couldn't care less about Ty's fate. If he failed, this meant more souls for the taking. If he succeeded, the necromancer could go back to its isolated peace. The circle below him had almost entirely lost its glow. Leon was starting to get antsy. Something needed to happen soon or he'd snap and kick that thing's ass somehow. Ayame stood patiently. She wasn't so sure that the situation was entirely hopeless.

One minute...

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Ty dashed throughout the crowd of skulls and bones, sending one flying after another. For all their numbers, their speed was drastically lacking compared to his current level. Ty smashed through a few and sent others careening into their own allies. He thought about how much Leon would like something like this... Speaking of which, getting out of here sounded like a really good idea. Ty thought about this as he kicked the last skeleton into dust. As he did, the rows and rows of corridors shuffled violently. Ty struggled to keep his balance as the world around him appeared to shift entirely. After its completion, he stood in one VERY LONG hallway. On the other end lay a large double door with a seal plastered to it.

"Finally! I've had enough of this place..." He sprinted down the hallway full force. Before he could reach the door itself, a large seal appeared between the two. It flashed and drew him in.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

The necromancer's clone disappeared. It stood and the scythe it held disappeared as well. Ty rose through the seal with a very confused expression. "What th..." He tried to take a step toward his friends, but fell to a knee. The first gate closed, leaving him incredibly weak. Using life force in chakra's stead was never a good idea if one was untrained. He had little choice while in that strange area, and didn't plan to ever do so again. He was lucky to have his life right now.

Leon came forward. "...The fuck happened to you?" He was slightly cautious. That necromancer was still standing there. Ayame rushed to Ty and immediately formed a shield between them and the necromancer as a precaution. She didn't want anything like that happening again.

Success... The necromancer stood in place, looking down at Ty.

Camila rushed to where Ty was to check up on him, she gave him a hug before she pulled away. Emanulle and Ningal soon joined, they were still keeping focused on the necromancer just in case, but they were hoping it was over with.

"Does that mean we can leave finally?"
Camila asked, her voice slightly sarcastic.

Jesus tapping Christ, all this for a damned place to put the scroll..

"Why was that test even needed?" Emanulle asked watching the creature. He didn't think the thing would answer to that, or much of anything really. However there was a lot going on. There had to be some story behind all this.

The necromancer didn't move for a moment. A flash of light suddenly erupted from its eyes; at least, where its eyes should have been. Suddenly, a slew of information washed over the group. This forest was not entirely under the creature's control, nor was its imbalance the necromancer's doing. It was simply being used to its advantage. Though the dragon they encountered was the necromancer's creation, there were myriad natural beasts in the forest they had not encountered. The "Vault" was a pocket of space between the world of the living and the dead. This was completely under the necromancer's control. No person could cross its threshold, only souls and objects of the necromancer's choosing. Its scythe was the key to gaining initial passage. That is why the location is secure. The final test was one of spiritual and physical resilience. It was designed to foil thievery attempts (one person could not possibly complete the trial from one side alone) and test the worthiness of the depositor. Defeating the skeleton on both sides opened the path for escape.

All of this information rushed through the group in the span of one second. In addition, a technique for calling upon the stowed item was shown to Ty. He felt dizzy from the new thoughts and his weakened state, thought the hug was greatly appreciated. "I think I'm alright. And I can see why this is so dangerous..." He wearily stood up.

"I'm guessing that's a silent 'Yes', Sis." Leon wasn't fully convinced, but he didn't feel any hostility from the necromancer anymore. If anything, it just didn't seem to like conversation. Ayame reluctantly dropped her shielding.

Farewell... The seal beneath them flashed. The group suddenly found themselves at the forest's entrance.

"Wait, what?! What the hell keeps happening?!" Leon announced his confusion.

"I... believe this is our success?" Ayame surmised.

"Still a asshole." Camila grunted then went to make sure Ty was all right and if need be, support him walk.

"It seems that way."
Ningal said, thinking of all what happened. Why had that Necromancer bounded itself to that forest? Was it under their own free will or someone had put them their? What a terribly lonely eternal existence. She couldn't help but feel it was a punishment or something.

"There's still questions I have about that...forest. But I suppose we'll never know the full story so no point in dwelling on it.."
Emanulle glanced at Ayame then the others to Ty. "You're the one in charge as long as we're on these lands since you know them the best. What's next?"

Ty was able to stand at this point and could walk with little difficulty. "Well, we're done here so I guess we can get on with saving the universe." He said jokingly, making light of his condition. Ty took out the stone given to him by Marcus. "If everyone's all set, I can contact Marcus now." Ty's priorities were just about in order. He'd need to summon Lala later to let Akane know he wouldn't be returning right away. She was likely to understand.

Leon shrugged. "Good to go. Best part about being self employed has gotta be the flexible hours."

"As I have stated, I've properly taken leave. When deemed necessary, I will extend this time. I am ready." Ayame was quite finished with that forest.

Emanulle shook his head. "I have no other business or point in dwelling on it longer then I have too. If everyone else is ready, then I am."

Nothing I would not do, nowhere I would not go for my daughter.

Camila nodded. "Ditto."

Ningal merely shrugged briefly. "I have no complaints. Besides such a journey would be interesting." Understatement.

When Ty decided to use the orb, at first nothing happened. Moments later, Marcus appeared along with a man in a robe.

Emanulle blinked, tilting his head. "A friend of yours?"

Marcus smiled faintly. "..A old friend. His name is Ion, master of ancient magic, his school at any rate. I brought him here to help Ty. I know a bit about his..problem of something being inside of him. Ion is here to get rid of it completely so Ty can focus at things on hand." He turned to Ty. "This is entirely up to you, young man. But I assure you Ion has expereince dealing with your problem and much worse."

Ty was dumbfounded. This man was of considerable power and influence; it was not unfathomable for him to find assistance on this matter so quickly. Was it right to take his assistance without Akane's knowledge? That was a given to Ty. However, before doing anything, this matter would likely have to wait at least a day. Bao-Zhi's words reminded him of the danger posed by proceeding at that moment. The spirit was strong, and Ty was currently in a very weakened state; the roles would need to be reversed for 'Ty' to survive. Also, anyone else messing with the seal would automatically cause him great pain. As he was at the moment, death seemed likely.

"That's... incredible. It's a great opportunity and I thank you for it. But, could I have a day to think on this? I have another contact in search of help, and I could really use some time to recover." Ty certainly didn't want to turn down his hospitality. He was sure Marcus had taken no slight efforts in preparing this. He also wanted this seal business over and done with. One day was more than enough to recover and get his affairs in order. "I'm sorry if I've inconvenienced either of you, but this is pretty important to me as well."

Leon broke into the conversation. "You should get your shit together ASAP, Ninja-boy. I suppose the problem's not goin' anywhere before tomorrow, though. In the mean time, we can get started on this Gem search." His contempt showed for the being on the seal's opposite side. Ayame remained silent; she hadn't known Ty long enough to comment.

Marcus nodded to that. "Fair enough." He could respect Ty's decision to want to hammer things out. "Akane is a old friend of mine, I'd be delighted to talk to her again for a moment anyway."

He stepped back and opened up a portal. "I'll transport you back to the Demon Realm. Ion and a Avatar of mine will be waiting for a day there so you can get things done."

Camila nodded, then moved to help Ty get through the portal. Emanulle and Ningal were silent.

(You'll be exited out once they enter the portal, standard drill)

Ty nodded. "Thank you. Everyone else is ready, but I'll be all set tomorrow." The reprieve was something his body desperately needed. He crossed through the portal with Camila.

Leon had a few fights that day, so he didn't mind waiting for the next bout. He stepped through after them. Ayame was her usual pensive self. She intended to ask Ty directly about this 'seal' business later. She walked through the portal as well.
